A simple well cooked meal, well spiced, exceptional flavour, great service and decor, try it you will not be disappointed! I can say no more!

Lovely food, friendly staff, great company what's not to like ? Went early Friday evening and it made for a cracking start to the night and, indeed, the weekend.

Popped into Shanaz, as we do every few months as a family group. Ali his team were superb as usual. We had a variety off the menu but the Sag Paneer was awesome as a side dish. As usual, the food ambience was...outstanding. Thanks Ali the team.

Good value curry which was very tasty. The service was good and there was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. We were a bit dubious to start with as upstairs in just a take away and does not make it look very appealing, but ignore...that and go in. Voir le carte

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately, I was not impressed with the quality of the meal. Despite the restaurant being busy, we were seated promptly and didn't have to wait long for our food. However, the chicken dish was not very hot and my chicken tikka was quite greasy. The rice was mediocre and there was an excessive amount of oil in the meal. Perhaps we should have mentioned something to the staff. On the upside, the price of the meal was reasonable.

we ordered a takeaway for 4. one of the dishes was excellent, two were average, but my vindaloo was nothing like a vindaloo. it was just a tomatenkur with extra chili. I often cook my own vindaloo and marinade the meat overnight. I even have. one in goa to check the authenticity of my recipe and it was quite the same. the court I had last night had never seen a milliliter vinegar. it was only meat and kartoffel in a generic tomato sauce with something extra chili. back to chaulas I go.

We had not tried curry in Lewes before, so we decided to give this restaurant a try based on previous reviews. The service was a bit lacking, as the staff seemed a bit inattentive. Although they were not rude, we expected a bit more attentiveness, especially considering they had a card system in place. After receiving our food, we were able to hear the staff discussing personal matters behind the bar, which took away from our dining experience. The food itself was alright, but it lacked flavor.
