The menus were in English, and the (attentive) waiter was from Ukraine. We had the set lunch, available until which was reasonably priced.

great position on the havel, good service, comfort food reasonably priced, cosy interior--what more could one ask for on a sunny day in a country town?

We visited when staying in Berlin and has a really good lunch on the patio. A good range of dishes to choose from and ours were very well cooked and presented

Just passing through this town, and looking for somewhere to eat. Saw this on Tripadvisor and stopped in. It was delicious! Nice outside table right on the river, very friendly servers. The food was amazing. Also very reasonably priced!

I went here for a late lunch yesterday. I was a little intimidated by how fancy the place was but when I saw that I could afford to eat there I was pleasantly surprised. The waiters didn't speak a lot of English but it was...enough and they were polite. The food was really good I had the Hamburg schnitzel. Would definitely recommend!

If you are looking for German cuisine but not really the traditional, this is the place. The seasonal menu brings always nice meals from season ingredients. The fixed menu is amazing too. I would recommend specially the Shrimp as starter and the marzipan torte as...dessert. For min dish just pick your favorite. It won’t disappoint you.

Very attractive, very nice (not quite elegant) old German castle atmosphere. Extensive menu and the food was excellent. My wife said the Schnitzel was better than at a recommended restaurant in Berlin. My pork steak was very good. One of our companions particularly enjoyed the...liver and onions. We definitely enjoyed the generous portions of vegetables and the side salad. Not quite so common in German cuisine, but well appreciated when traveling. Prices were definitely reasonable. Service was good.

Okay, so we only had coffee, tea, and cake still, the restaurant was so impressive, I must pass on my impressions. In out of the way' little Oranienburg, the first surprise was to find such a fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere is lovely (for a...small town palace), and the menu is really very impressive. I look forward to coming for a dinner sometime soon. The second surprise was that they serve one of my favorite teas (Eilles), and the third surprise was now I'm a big cake fan and sample cakes everywhere I go this was some of the best cake I've ever tasted: moist, soft, and delicious! What a dream. Service was friendly and prices were reasonable. Yes, I'll be back!

We visited on a cold January day after an afternoon at Sachsenhausen concentration camp, consequently we all felt very low. The restaurant was empty it being late afternoon after lunch and before dinner, situated in the old castle, a grand palace built for princess Louise,...it was surprisingly cosy with friendly efficient service. Located on the edge of the old town and by the (frozen today) river it would I am sure be a delightful spot in summer but this was bitter bleak day in January. We had soup, various main plates, as a vegetarian I was pleased to see a choice of vegetables on the menu, we finished up with homemade strudel, perfect.
