"We had been recommended this place (amongst others) by the owner of the apartment we were renting locally. The setting is beautiful and relaxed. You eat outside on a terrace (covered or open completely to the elements) amongst the olive trees. Our teenage kids wandered...off to explore after ordering and were found chilling in a hammock slung between the trees. There are fairy lights and lots of lanterns everywhere that add to the magical atmosphere of the place. Don't go though if you get irritated by kids eating in restaurants. There were many Italian families eating here with their young kids and lots of children running around amongst the trees. But, whereas anywhere else I might find this annoying, in this setting, it was charming! Our waitress could not speak a word of English but was absolutely delightful patient and attentive. The food was of a very good standard. All local, traditional dishes, but not a huge choice for vegetarians. Wine was excellent too. This is not a cheap night out. We paid over 200 Euros for four, although we all had three courses plus wine. But it was well worth it for a special night and is considered by the whole family as one of the highlights of our Tuscany holiday."

"Qualità delle materie prime, tanta tradizione e una carta dei vini all'altezza (difficile sbagliare da queste parti). Tavoli esterni forse un po' sacrificati (alcuni in piena esposizione al sole), piccolo e accogliente all'interno. I frigoriferi con le fiorentine in bella mostra sono spettacolari. Servizio un po' lento ma immagino necessario per fare tutto con cura. Prezzi leggermente alti Personale attento al cliente e preparato"

"We went in and have been told there are no tables but they can do take away pizza. As I’m gluten and lactose intolerant I have asked if they can serve me. They showed me the gluten free pizza list, and for the lactose free pizza they said ‘si, si’ they can make it, just chose from the list. I want to mention I have asked two waiters, one that greeted us and one who took the orders. So we have ordered and waited for about half an hour, and happy to receive my pizza we went to our accommodation to eat. When I opened the box, wasn’t sure if it’s a joke or what.... but I had a dry pizza base, without cheese on it(so this is what lactose free cheese means to them) and some dry tomato, onion and burnt salami on it. I decided to go back and complain. The waiter was a bit shocked by my complain, and said that yes, this is the lactose free pizza, without cheese on it. On many occasions I’ve been told by restaurants that they don’t have gluten or lactose free options, and that was fine. Quite often they say that they can swap and add something else to it. But never been told that I can have it and they just leave it out basically one of the main parts of the pizza. Finally the waiter gave the money back (and, yes I was charged the same amount for this dry pizza without cheese) but I remained hungry as by the time we finished, most restaurants where about to close, and my husband had to eat a cold pizza. Really poor service and it felt that they are just interested in making profit by taking as many orders as possible but do not care about how customers feel. Would not recommend!!!"

"This is a lovely little restaurant in a small hill top village in the untouristy part of Tuscany the Maremma. We went here twice during the week we were in Tuscany. We stayed at a hotel just outside the village. The staff are very pleasant and obliging. They have a QR code that provides you with a translation of the menu and their English is good enough for most questions. You will not go hungry. We had a sharing platter of selected antipasti which was almost a meal in itself. I had pasta with Octopus for my main and that was delicious. They and other restaurants in the area do not do the standard UK Italian menu as Tuscany has its own particular style of cuisine, but I would thoroughly recommend it."
