"Was promised my food would be delivered within 2 hours. Waited 2.5 hours and ended up having to drive and pick up as when I rang they said it would be at least another hour! The girl on the phone was rude. To then be overcharged by £20! Should have been £33 and we were charged £53! Only realised once I was home and added up my order. When I rang back the same girl did not seem bothered at all and stated “if our till is up you can have it back if not you can’t” Once they had cashed up they said the till was only £10 up and that was tips they had (over the whole night, between all the staff, on New Years Eve?! If they are that desperate to steal £20 off a customer they need to make blatant lies up about tips then they can keep my money. This is about the principal for me. I asked them to check the cctv where they would have clearly been able to see my boyfriend count out the notes individually, they claimed they don’t have one. I am absolutely appalled by the dishonesty and lack of customer service!! They have lost a loyal, regular customer in me, not to mention people I tell and people reading this which you’d think would mean more to a business than this. Utter disgrace!"

Fantastic curry (chicken takeaway massala) lovely naan bread. Chips tasted like re fried leftovers. We ordered at 5pm and ate at 6pm

The food was good but the lamb meet was too hard to eat, it was mutton. Maybe that's why the price was identical to the chicken when normally the lamb is more expensive.

Reading some reviews I agree there’s a bit of a wait sometimes….but you can’t rush quality and this is the best Indian take out in Plymouth! Tender meat, well balanced spices, the best naan bread and bhajees.. so if it takes a while who cares?! Voir le carte

I was disappointed with my meal tonight. I usually order from Saafron and love it, but tonight the mixed kebab starter was awful. The lamb was very chewy and not tasty at all. I wanted to leave a review on the Saafron website, but they only allow reviews with 5 stars or above.

Food is nice, but took forever to get to me. I was told an estimated delivery time of 22:15 by just eat but the food didn't arrive until 11. Had to call twice to get an update on where my food was. The first time they said 15 minutes, but even this took another 40 minutes. All we got by way of apology was two cans of coke.

This restaurant serves the best Indian food! The dishes are fantastic with authentic and delicious flavors. It is a family-run business that offers amazing and high-quality cuisine. If you are short on time, I recommend picking up your order as they are in high demand for their delicious food. You can even watch the open kitchen cook your meal while you wait. Voir le carte

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and I come here often. It's a business I love to support and always make sure to order when I'm in the area. I absolutely adore their tandoori chicken, but I also enjoy their chicken tikka masala with a keema naan bread. The family who runs this restaurant is lovely and they really put a lot of care into their service and food. I highly recommend it. Thank you all so much!

We ordered two curries for delivery last night. Knowing it might be busy as it's a saturday night during lockdown, we ordered early, at 5.30pm. 2 HOURS LATER the curries still hadn't arrived. We phoned and the person we spoke to said they were being cooked right then. 20 minutes later we phoned again and they were apparently still being cooked! We cancelled our order as 2.5hours is just too long to wait for a curry!

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
