"Do not let the location and other’s thoughts about the location keep you away. This is a lovely restaurant with really nice attentive, enthusiastic, helpful and attentive staff. Once in the grounds of the restaurant, you will be looked after. Even parking was assisted by a very helpful attendant. It can be a little bit difficult to find but persevere and you will be rewarded. We just asked for a cold antipasto misto selection) of seafood to start and we were rewarded with a lovely selection of diverse seafood dishes. Each dish was beautifully presented with each piece of seafood perfectly cooked. This was accompanied by a toasted bread and Sardinian thin crispy bread Pane Carasau both were delicious. We also left the wine choice to our waiter who suggested some light, flavoursome Sardinian white wine a great choice and reasonably priced. After our starters we were pretty full and asked for one portion of spaghetti a la Vongole clams) with bottarga dried mullet roe a Sardinian speciality), for us to share between the two of us. This was delicious and we have now resolved to buy some botterga to take home. After this, we really just enjoyed the rest of the wine and the general atmosphere around us which was delightful. A smile and bono sera goes a long way! This is not a cheap restaurant but I would consider if very fair for what we had, as others have commented. It is also quite special. Being Italian, feel free to ask for what you would like and do express any special likes or dislikes this will be easily accommodated. All in all a lovely experience and we will definitely be back before our holiday comes to an end."

Terrible experience, the waiters only take care of the customers they preferthe others don’t matter , which is not ok in such a restaurant, they came to our table only twice and the third time for the bill. Very bad experience

My husband and I were suggested this restaurant by the owner of the B&B we were staying. Truly loved it! Great food, great service and good price X quality! In a week in Sardinia, we had dinner 3 times there! Definitely recommend!

The restaurant is clean and well laid out with a small garden area that has a slide for the kids to play on. Overall the food was OK although nothin amazing, the service goes very slowly here, took more than 90 minutes to do antipasti and primo. Voir le carte

This restaurant was recommended us in the hotel we staid. It was our first evening in Sardinia and the dinner was excellent! We took sea food, everything was fresh and very tasty. I cannot say it was overpriced, the bill was quite standard for Italy. Restaurant was full even though it was Thursday, I saw many locals as well. If you d like to try good sea food/fish and local dishes Sa Baracca is perfect place for it

Sa Barracca is always good. We have been clients of the restaurant for abut 2 yrs. Sandro, the proprietor is very simpatico and accomodating. Staff members are very helpful. Recommended is the hot and cold antipasti with a choice of meat or seafood. We order the seafood which consists of salmon carpaccio, polpo, cozze, etc. The portions are generous. However, if one still has hunger one can order pasta or fish. For pasta , the tagliatelli with funghi is good. Voir le carte

Found this restaurant after looking for restaurants in the area where I was staying on holiday. After reading the reviews I was defiantly expected to spend over 120 Euros for dinner, the bill was well under that! The service, our waiter Alessandro provided a great service and recommended food and wine which offered good value. The food arrived promptly and was all tasty. I recommend ordering the antipasti. We ordered antipasti to share and it filled two people very well. The Tiramisu was Amazing. Best meal of the holiday. I would defiantly return and the service was everything that I expect from a restaurant.

I suggest this place each time you will be in Cagliari location and you desire to eat the best fresh Sardinian Fish. Alessandro (the owner) does everithing with passion and all dishes shows this skills.. I went with my husband and we choose the full starters that contains a various and fantastisc different type of the best hot and raw startes. You can not consider your Sardinia experience without taste this food. Now that I leave outside Sardinia I never still found a place fantastic like Sa Barracca, and I come back each time I can. The bill is absolutely aligned with food and service. Tripadvisor commun...

"Where to start... It's not often you find a place that hits every note just right, but tonight, we did. This experience was nothing short of spectacular. The food, the service, the atmosphere – all top-notch. Alessio, our server, embodied what it means to be truly hospitable. His knowledge, friendliness, and attentiveness were the perfect complement to an already exceptional evening. If you're planning a visit, do yourself a favor and ask for Alessio. We kicked things off with the Calamari Fritto. Perfectly cooked, perfectly salted, and paired with a sauce that had whispers of garlic and a hint of acidity, perhaps from the lemon we squeezed over it. A small portion, but a perfect tease of what was to come. Then came two of the most remarkable dishes we've ever had, anywhere in Italy. First, the Agliolini all'Uovo con Caviale di Salmone. A dish that, at first glance, was flawless. Al dente pasta in a wonderfully balanced sauce. The salmon caviar added an explosion of flavor, little bursts of briny joy that played off the lemon zest in perfect harmony. And then, the Culurgiones con Crema di Bottarga al Burro. This dish, folks, made us emotional. Knowing we might never taste anything like it again, except here, in Sardinia. As the plate arrived, the aroma enveloped us. The nuttiness of the browned butter, the salinity of the bottarga – it was a beautiful marriage of flavors. The Culurgiones, those little Sardinian dumplings, were cooked to perfection, absorbing the rich, flavorful sauce. It was a dish so well-composed, so brilliantly executed, it was a privilege to eat. As if the evening couldn’t get any better, we had the pleasure of sharing a seadas. This Sardinian dessert is a real gem. Imagine a delicate pastry, fried to golden perfection, filled with tangy pecorino cheese. Drizzled with local honey, it’s a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The cheese oozes out, melding with the honey to create a mouthful of pure joy. It’s simple, yet extraordinary – a perfect end to our meal. The memory of tonight's meal will linger long after the last bite. We can't wait to come back and do it all over again. In the midst of all this culinary perfection, we almost forgot the stunning sunset, which we caught just in time at the end of our meal. Thank you, Alessio, and a heartfelt thanks to the chefs for a meal we'll be dreaming about for a long time. (For drinks, we enjoyed a few Select Spritz and wrapped up with a couple cafes. The perfect end to a perfect evening."
