"The restaurant no longer offers a separate vegan menu. Instead, they now offer two salads and Vietnamese "meat"balls in sweet and sour sauce as vegan options. The mushroom burger with chips can also be made vegan by simply removing the halloumi, but not by substituting it with another ingredient. As someone who isn't a fan of mushrooms and was looking forward to some pub grub after a hike, I was a bit disappointed that my only option was the "meat"balls. While they were reasonably tasty, the sauce noodles tasted like they came from a packet. The price was also a bit steep at £16. Update from previous review on 2023-09-01."

I had a wonderful lunch on the sunny picnic benches outside. My squash and quinoa salad was delicious and looked very appetizing. The vegan nachos were a hit with the children and the staff was extremely helpful.

we were here two times. the vegan mushroom burger was one of the best we ever had! the vegan gratin unfortunately lacked the (vegane) cheese. it was a bit boring. for this the personal is super friendly and helpful in the drink selection. Voir le carte

We've been coming down and staying in this part of Devon, yearly, for more than 25 years, and found this hidden gem after visiting burrator reservoir nearby, lovely pub, very friendly bar staff and great food at a very good price, see you next year!! PS.. My wife loved your salad dressing and says thanks for the recipe
