"We happened upon this lovely pub whilst visiting the area. We had our elderly dog with us and to find such a welcoming, dog friendly, cosy pub that served great food to both us and our dog was amazing. The sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce is highly recommended. We have visited twice this week and will definitely return"

My mother enjoyed her salmon dish but I was a little disappointed with my rack of lamb meal. Not much meat for £25 and vegetables of carrots and beetroot and bit bland.

Monday, fish chip night, excellent. good selection of beer, friendly friendly staff and very dog friendly. next time we are back in appleby, will like to go back and do not have any reservations that recommend this place to everyone.

We decided to stop here for a meal during a recent visit to Appleby, I’m so glad we did! Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Food was AMAZING and served quickly despite the entire pub and dining areas being pretty close to full. Great place would recommend to all
