Fantastic meal. The guy behind the bar was really nice and helpful (didn't get a name) and the food was amazing. Good portion sizes and fairly priced. Historic, welcoming, homely. I had a light bite lunch and pot of tea for midday lunch, served well. Being next to a magnificent castle, waiting to be discovered, surrounded by tidal seawater, interesting and lovely to be there. A very friendly traditional pub where we were made very welcome. The bar staff were great and the locals friendly, even the dog was made a fuss of. Great place to watch the Rugby too. Didn't get to eat there but food being served around us looked great. All in all a great experience, especially for my partner who had left the area 50 years ago. We'll definitely visit again when we're next in the area! Service: 5

Brillant pub from an Australian. Foods great, with spectacular men behind the bar. Locals will make anyone feel welcome. Pet friendly which just adds a brillant atmosphere and more friends. Foods worth more than it is and homemade, not a single thing fronzen! Ps. If you are from Australia be prepared to get some flack (Dai I'm talking to you) but give a little bite back and all is laughs, its great. Couldn't recommend it enough! Food: 5
