spent £30 and didnt enjoy the food atall it tasted terrible! the chicken chow mein had a burnt horrible taste and the bbq sauce tasted nothing like bbq sauce it was a disaster and a waste of money will never order again!!!!!

Made a booking via their website only to find out that they don’t send confirmations and therefore no booking. Family dinner ruined. The rude staff didn’t help at all, offering us multiple tables for us but only for 90 minutes. A disgrace…..

royal china in canary wharf serves the most delicious and freshest dim sum in london. if they do not think they can order a service of pork and radish noodles and they will literally be able to identify any ingredient that goes into the filling. Voir le carte

Ate here a few times recently for dim sum. Steamed items decent. Some items not cooked freshly/not delivered to table hot so quality suffered, esp fried items. Service is pretty standard, but coupled with some lukewarm items, we did raise an eyebrow when 13% was automatically added. We are not in a hurry to return.

We used to live close to this Chinese restaurant and went back for a visit yesterday evening. I’m pleased to say it was as good as ever, the food was amazing. The crispy duck as a starter was wonderful. We also especially enjoyed the beef in ginger and spring onions. Contrary to some recent reviews we found the service efficient and friendly.

The food quality has gone downhill. Really sad for what was before a great restaurant. Also prepare to pay 13% more on what the menu says since the service charge is mandatory. The service was so rude we had to ask for them to remove but they refused to and caused a huge scene. Which is absolutely illegal ofcourse since it’s not subject to VAT only if it’s optional. compare it to melbourne, Australians it is not the best. but for london it was pretty decent. some of the dishes were quite delicious and well balanced. However, the roasted duck was super fat and the fat was not made enough. not very pleasant. now, if there is the end of the meal, most of the Chinese restaurants would give them free fruits but not here. it was for a plate. keyword, plated. if they think of a plate, they would think of a large plate with a few slices of obstinate. not here, they give them a slice of apple, orange and a few grapes. unacceptable. I'm used to how it's home, but I was quite disappointed by this restaurant. it wasn't close to being authentic.

It has been a few years since we had dinner in RC in canary wharf. We came to celebrate my brother's birthday as we wanted some decent Chinese food. However, the portions were small and prices were overpriced. For example, their famous lotus rice was £16.80 but portion size was for 2 people at best. Also they didn't have crispy roast pork on a Saturday night! Service was not food, no one offered us tea for at least 10 to 15mins. We had to flag someone down. Same for ordering our dishes, no one seemed to care whether we ordered or not. They added service charge to the bill and was still asking for tip when we paid by credit card. I had relatives coming down from the North who are quite partial to Chinese cuisine. How about a walk along the Thames followed by a riverside meal? They have a dog so I made a point of checking if they were dog friendly. No. However they have tables and chairs outside. Unfortunately it was a wet day when we arrived and my very diplomatic brother in law went in to see what was possible. Answer: we are not serving outside. We were a bit hungry at this point so my sister offered to stay outside with the dog and have a take away whilst the 3 of us went inside.
