Riverside Terrace At Crowne Plaza Stratford-upon-avon

The room was cold. The food was dry and tasteless. The pudding came cold in the menu it was warm had to be sent back. A very poor experience would not recommend.

Lovely setting and decent food but thought the menu was a little limited and they were clearly understaffed as many places are at the moment. Good for a spot of lunch but there are other options in town.

Our experience was enhanced by the friendly care of whom I presume to have been the manager. He personally ensured our food was brought quickly as we were in a rush, and made sure our drinks were served. Great service from him.

The staff are extremely friendly. The starter was poor but the main dish very good. Food value was Ok but the wine was very overpriced. The tables and chairs could do with replacing, the lighting was too bright and the music too loud.

Unfortunately we didn’t get the table we booked and ended up being seated on a sofa with x2 separate chairs with a very small table which made it very difficult to eat our food. Not impressed the food was very expensive for what we had .

We arrived to find that there wasn’t a table reserved for us. There was also a very big noisy group at the bar. It was impossible to get near enough to say that we weren’t staying and would like to cancel the booking. So we left. We have eaten on the terrace on another occasion recently and it was very good.

We both had a most enjoyable afternoon, the staff were very efficient and friendly, the musician that was playing was outstanding, shame the weather wasnt warmer as we had booked a terrace table, however the staff were very accommodating in reseating us inside, we will definitely do it again, thankyou to all the staff especially James a most pleasant young man.

Food was great, had to order at the bar though. After booking a table for a specific time, 1:00pm on the terrace, no body at the hotel was aware of the booking structure, from reception through to the bar. The restaurant was hosting an event so no help there. Apparently the restaurant can only be booked after 6:00pm. We were lucky to get a seat in the bar, as nothing had been reserved.

We booked restaurant for 5:30 however when we arrived we were told it did not open till 6. Some common sense by a member of staff let us sit there in the end as we had our daughter and the bar area was noisy and no table suitable for a high chair. They were severely understaffed, turning people away when only a few people sitting down. That was shown by the slow to non existent service we received. We waited almost 15 mins for our daughters two scoops of ice cream. Our plates weren’t cleared for almost half an hour after finishing. The people who served us were kind to be fair, just not enough of them. Food was decent, although menu didn’t match exactly what we got in a few places. Food area...
