"Location Very close to the large parking lot of Kulmbach am Weiß Main. Parking on the large parking lot is sufficient. Via headstone paver you reach the Fischergasse and the reopened Gasthaus Birke. Ambience exhibitors in the entrance area include several daily dishes and offers. In the showroom we were asked to rate this guesthouse via RK via a sticker directly. In the hall you can walk left to the toilets and right into the guest room. There's a lot of cosiness inside. There is space for about 50 people. Beautifully restored old artificial tables with drawers, were read on high gloss. Circular benches are covered with yellow red seat cushions. The walls are covered and old window fronts were originally incorporated. The windows to the street side are stained glass windows, light donating the semi-old original lamps with ceramic frames. The counter is very small and inconspicuous in proportion. Place was created on the ceiling to accommodate old wooden sleepers there. The remaining decoration with old props and a tiled stove is also very harmonious. Beautiful cozy ambience. For the beer garden, which can accommodate about 65 people, of course covered with a birch and three chestnut trees, it was unfortunately too cold this day. Service We were kindly received and allowed to take place in a small empore. The service was running smoothly, but demand stopped. In the meantime, the little dog of the house was cuddled and supplied. Food There is a warm kitchen offered throughout. On Sundays a Franconian lunch table and Wednesdays and Thursdays there are huge pans with Pommes Frites. An asparagus court was currently offered annually. We've been brought to the table with our daily dishes. From this we chose the cut open claws with salad (6,30 € , the turkey steak with pepper cognac sauce, roastitaler and small salad (8,90€ and the meat skewer from the loin with fire sauce and pommes (11,90€). But the disappointment was great. The meat was tender but everything was very neutral until not seasoned. We had to reorder the big pepper mill. From salad we had the impression that the complete dressing had been forgotten smoothly. Well washed plucked, honed and hate suitable. Conclusion: Franconian inn with beautiful rustic ambience."
