"What a great site outside of Rifugio Fuciade; the white cliffs of the towering Dolomite Mountains, made of chalk and other minerals that weather so pale over time. What a climate: always refreshing, and after a walk at 1970 metres it creates an appetite for...both the chef’s efforts and sparkling chardonnays from Trento to the south. We are tasked with drinking Trento DOCs at altitude, and giving consideration to their differential taste when drunk in parallel at 200 m near Trento city. First plate, the starter: tartare of trout/ char, dressed along with goat cheese, mint and strawberry medley decor; topped with sweet potato crisp; diced fresh water lake fish marinated in great olive oil, saffron infused, juicy and subtle-flavoured. Crispy chardonnay bubbles easily release chopped fish notes you see. Try a Trento DOC with your next tartare or sushi. The prima, a pasta called ciajoncie looking like dumplings, a Fassa Valley specialty better known as mezzelune or ravioli when local dialect is not used. Stuffed with smoked ricotta, roasted tomatoes around the plate with a strip of caramelised balsamic. Substantial. Now a second pasta; risotto, rice stained with squid ink, topped with hearty slices of speck, local bacon, chives, topped with a delirious taste sensation of a crumbed, deep fried whole egg just so plump and running with flavour. The bubbles match? Blanc de noirs, needed some pinot noir weight. Yes. Secondo; roe deer, juicy pink, dry aged and glowing with rustic taste charm; noisettes, savoury apple in its skin, crumbed, deer jus, so rich, butter finished; pimento puree, peppery, elderberry acidity; just very good, hearty dish. The pairing; older Trento DOC, base wines barrel aged, lots of bottle aged honey, sweetens up the game jus. Dessert; artful, called Caprese 2.0; actually the main ingredients of caprese salad; tomato, basil and mozzarella as ice creams in medley; savoury- sweet; cheese crumble to finish, olive oil lurking. Here since 1982 owners Sergio and Manuela, and head chef Martin, have a charming time providing these plates with their own local Ladin spin (also a rare local language). Bravo guys. The air outside was crisp, too cold for outside dining, and there was a 30% chance of snow overnight, but it didn’t, and the accommodation snug but super at -5 oC outside; pleasant. I think I preferred Trento fizzes at ground zero; at 2000 metres glasses go flat a little faster. So drink them quickly. Our thanks to Rifugio Fuciade for a fun experience, and night."

molto bello la posizione interna. Consiglio di prenotare. buon pranzo, un po' alti prezzi. personale fa il suo lavoro, ma c'è poca cordialità e rapporto umano.

In my opinion one cannot find a better place to have lunch. We reached this place after an easy walk of about 4 km from Pellegrino Pass. Food was good and so was the beer. Service excellent and the view to die for.

I was there on the advice of friends, from san martino di castrozza with the car to almost under the influx, from the parking below there are about 2.5 km to foot, which we liked to do, we had an aperitif and lunch, to eat very good...and the price is sufficient for the quality of food, I recommend this to be flooded in any case, it can be quite different

we always make sure we eat here during our anual ski holiday. in this year my dear friend vanessa caught me by surpirise and arranged a room for me and mine man so that we spend the night in a beautiful room with stunning vieuw and bubble bath. the room was decorated because we also celebrated our 34th annual day. the staff was very helpful to fill this fantastic surprise. dinner and service as always excellent! for me this place is one of the best of the world!

posizione fantastica.

here a night stayed on a skisafari over the dolomites. taken from the ski slopes san pelligrino and brought to the distant rifugio. a very interesting room for 4 in the roof floor, but very comfortable beds and a large bathroom....Don't let the room sauna work. great tour through the fascinating wine cellars by the excellent sommelier followed by a tasting of very high quality and some great local South Tyrol lagrein weep. excellent breakfast of the next stay before they are jumped back to the pists.

This was a let down. After much hype and fanfare we were hoping for something special. The four of us all had the tasting menu for 80 EUR a head and all of us without exception found the dishes to be poorly cooked and over...complicated. It was almost as though they had a new chef who was trying too hard to be clever. It would also appear he had got his hands a new toy as there were several tricked up dishes where the food had been battered with an air dryer. The venison was dry and under cooked, the dessert a collision of tastes, and the other plates just as poor. The services was obsequious and the sommelier's recommendations were substandard. When you ask for a dry crisp white wine you do...

in consideration of the sometimes stupid labeling of tripadvisor one has to say that it is rather a (nice) mix of different characters: the warm of a baita (berghütte) combined with 5 stars eating, fortunately local not boring internationally. I was pretty. one because I ate so well. the cheese selection plate was an explosion! some of the reviews read I would say some people have no sense for time and space! we are at almost 2000 m height, all the things have to be carried up there. fortunately, our friends had made a reservation so no problem with waiting to time that everyone wants to see that 's too midday at a place without alternative but spectacular mountain views round. Despite my kn...

Expensive but excellent and unmissable stop on the AV2. We walked from Rif. Contrin to Rif. Fuciade and we were not disappointed! Fuciade is set in beautiful surroundings. We had booked an en-suite room but were upgraded to a chalet a few minutes down the...road. This was well appointed, and presumably very actively used in the winter season. It was over spec for what we needed for one night (two bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, etc) but we took advantage of the luxury. The food at Fuciade is really excellent. We had dinner and breakfast as part of the half-board. The chefs are exceptional. Between the family we had cheese meat selections, soup, gnocchi, chef’s special casserole and fabulous dese...
