"Such a shame. Great food, but we 've now been let down on two separate occations. This evening, we have been waiting almost 3 hours for our delivery. Every time we have called to chase its give us another 10 minutes how long are we going to play this game? I absolutely understand and sympothise that there are busy nights, but there needs to be an automated warning to let people know of wait times so that they can go elsewhere to lighten the load. And whenever customers call to chase there needs to be some honesy. Otherwise it is a complete waste of everybody 's time."

delivery times are just too long and not what you are told when you place the order

Ordered for delivery, arrived 30 minutes with order and food was lovely, had the tandoori chicken balti and it was great. Will use again for sure.

Waited 3 1/2 hours for a delivery kept being told it was 10 minutes away … absolute joke.. never even turned up but was constantly told it’s on the way

We love this place. We do wait over 60 min for delivery and when I do chase the staff are lovely. Were local and probably order twice a month. Food is beautiful! Voir le carte

Food ordered at 6.27pm After 3 phone calls it was delivered at 9.30 pm with items missing If it hadn’t been paid for when ordering it would of been cancelled Very disappointing

Placed order over phone for 730pm to collect. Went to collect told no order placed even though had proof of phone call on phone. No apology or offer to push order through, just told 1.5 hr wait. Shame have always enjoyed our takeaway from here but will not use again. Basically called us liars saying hadn’t placed an order. Phone call records do not lie!!

Online order for 7:30pm and arrived outside and parked my car to collect. Kept waiting for 37minutes. Made our way home. Parking notice arrived today with a fine for £85. This is a honey trap and clearly designed to rake in profits from arbitrary fines. Threats if not paid will be sent to debt collection agency. Many other people have been subjected to this unfair practice. Voir le carte

We've being using the Rickshaw for almost 2 years and every delivery we receive takes about 2.5 hours which is a long time but the food is very good. Today we ordered at 6pm and received it at 10.10pm. We called twice and was told 20 mins each time, still we waited. Finally 4 hours later it arrived. No food is worth waiting that long so we will be looking for a new restaurant from now on.

Been using here for well over 10 years! No loyalty to customers what so ever! Although the food is great the wait time is awful and we even collected to wait 40 minutes in the shop to then receive a parking fine from outside the shop! Not bothered what so ever in losing a customer! No offer of any compensation to put to wards the fine! I suggest you have delivery or your curry will end up costing you almost £100! Awful attitude will never use here again!!

"This was our first visit. I have to remind myself that this is a training environment for students but there should be someone in charge, who is identifiable to direct the students on how to present a menu and how to place a dish in front of customers. However, four courses for £35, amuse bouche counted for one course. Amouse bouche lacked any seasoning, orzo starter, well cooked but again lacked seasoning. My wife had fish, Coley, which was nice. I had chicken breast on a bed of curry sauce with hassleback potatoes. My whole dish was luke warm at best, the curry sauce was overpowering, and the hassleback potatoes were not crispy. The chicken was lovely and moist and I ordered a side of triple cooked chips which were super hot, expensive at £4, I only wish the rest of my dish was that hot. I had cheese and biscuits which consisted of Brie, blue cheese and cheddar together with chutney. My wife had Pain Perdue which was well presented and tasty. The restaurant is more like a cafe, not cosy, so don't choose it if you want a romantic evening. Overall would I go again? probably not. If you are ever near the Lake district try to book a table in the restaurant at Kendal College. On a final note; there is parking on an evening next to the college. Drive up to the barrier and press the call button, security will let you in. The barrier opens automatically on exit."
