"Extremely poor customer service. I was unfamiliar with this restaurant, but my partner purchased a Groupon voucher for it. I wondered how bad it could be. When we called to make a reservation, we were informed of an additional £2 charge per person for using the voucher. The staff member was rude and unhelpful. After pointing out that this fee was not mentioned in the offer, we were given an ultimatum: pay the extra charge or find another place to dine. We chose the latter option. Groupon promptly refunded us for the voucher, which was appreciated. Given the negative reviews, we typically wouldn't risk dining at a place like this. In today's competitive hospitality industry, businesses need to provide exceptional service to succeed - something this restaurant lacks."

I have eaten at several Indian restaurants, but I always return to this one for the delicious food. It is definitely our top choice.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. My boyfriend and I came for dinner after exploring Hillsborough and we loved the meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning!

most reviews say about the dated decor, please do not let them put out how to eat is amazing. from the chicken pastor who was the best I tasted, to the huh madras. the flesh was so tender and seasoned were perfect. I would recommend it very much.

Thought I’d add a review albeit 3 years late, my girlfriend just reminded me of one of our first dates which was here! The place almost feels stuck in time which is actually fantastic , the food was brilliant and we actually really enjoyed the evening. The waiter/cashier (could also be the chef) was a really pleasant and friendly bloke. We’re actually planning on revisiting when we get a chance!

The food was excellent and the staff member was very friendly, I can’t fault the service or the food. Bit of a weird atmosphere as the place was almost empty when we were there (one other table occupied), and the decor is very dated with an obvious damp smell. That being said, the restaurant was clean and food was served quickly. I’d probably go back for takeaway but not for another dine in experience. Service: Dine in

This restaurant is unfortunately not in the best location for foot traffic but I would recommend going for the food and service. The gentle man, who I assume owns it, greets, seats, serves and is the Jack of all trades. He’s very professional, kind and attentive. The food is traditional and comes in beautiful serving bowls. Full of flavour and spice! Don’t let the quiet or simple decoration stop you from trying this place! Vegetarian options: There’s vegetarian options available!

fantastic variety of beautiful Indian cuisine. friendly and polite service. we were greeted at the arrival and sitting in the spacious reception area. we were accompanied on our table and offer poppadome and dips while we wait for our starters. after well presented and delicious start. we had our meals. I was thrilled by my choice of the special Punjabi mix of the cook. beautiful evening in beautiful surroundings. the parking spaces are located on the road from the city centre. if you enjoy good eating and a great service in a quiet environment, this is a great place.

"Without a doubt the worst experience we have ever had. Pre booked a table for 5 for dinner on Saturday evening and when we arrived they didn't seem that busy. We were shown to our table relatively quick. We then had to sit there for around 20 minutes until someone came to take our food order. I was a bit surprised that there was only 2 steaks on the menu unless you gave 24hr notice. We then had to ask could we order a drink. It wasn't a difficult order 1 beer and 4 Fanta. We waited a further 15 for the drinks to come which were wrong also the glasses were disgusting with lipstick and previous drink residue on them.we eventually got all that sorted and the food came. I had ordered a mixed grill which was £28 I asked for my steak to be cooked medium. The plates were literally just in front of us 2 minutes when a waitress came and asked was everything OK. As I began to work my way through the food I eventually got to the 8oz steak which was very well done and extremely hard to chew so it was left. When everyone had finished they came to clear the plates and I told the waitress that I had asked for medium and not well done and to my surprise she immediately got on the defensive asking did someone come and see if everything was OK I told her yes but it was just after the food was brought. 2 minutes later the owner of the place came out of the kitchen with my steak on a small plate and proceeded to tell me I was wrong and that that's the way a medium steak should look but there was not even a slight tinge of pink. He then started to tell me that I didn't know how steak was cooked. I then mentioned the glasses and he said didn't they get replaced so what's the problem. At this point t my kids were getting pretty upset so I just asked for the bill so we could leave. To be honest it was very intimidating to have a well over 6ft man stand over you arguing over a piece of steak. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone."

"Where to begin? Our mother decided to “treat” myself and my sister to lunch. However, soon our joy turned into laughter, and then to severe disappointment. My sister and I shared a “panini” of bacon, Brie and cranberry sauce. Firstly, the “panini” was a baguette...which had been seared then microwaved. The bacon was the best bit, yet had clearly reheated in a microwave. The Brie, was next to non-existent. The cranberry sauce, oh my goodness it was atrocious. Our “panini” was not a generous size for a grand price of half of which was filled with psychedelic blood-like sugary cranberry sauce (with giant chunks of cranberry). First when my sister took a bite I thought she was over exaggerating, for I had not tasted the cranberry sauce yet, it was upon my second bite the true horror of the “panini” had come to fruition. Picture this, expecting to have a bite of creamy Brie, crispy bacon, and tart cranberry sauce, and then instead being met with a taste that resembled sweetened jelly powder. I tried to convince myself that my tastebuds were deceiving me I fought through the overwhelming taste of sweeties, to attempt to taste the Brie, which in fact I couldn’t find. The bacon flavour barely made it through and the bread was more a sponge for soaking up the cranberry sauce. As you can see from the photo provided, in order to make some attempt at finishing the “panini”, my sister and I had to dissect it and surgically remove what looked like blood clots cranberries. To add to this horror, there was but a sad pile of coleslaw, apparently a pile of crinkle-cut crisps it wasn’t even to my surprise at this point that there was one solitary crinkle-cut crisp among a variety of other flavoured basic crisps. To top this all off, our mother bravely tried the pink foam substance (we still aren’t sure what it was) and she had to immediately reach for her glass of water to wash away the taste. This experience produced within us both feelings of guilt and shame. Guilt, because our mother (who rarely eats out) was attempting to “treat” us to brunch. She felt guilty at inflicting such a disastrous “panini” on us as a “treat”. Shame, because we are the type of family who NEVER leave food on our plates, yet we were so embarrassed about how it looked like we barely ate anything at all, so we quickly made an exit. In conclusion, the hot food needs serious reform. On a positive note, the staff seemed friendly."
