Food was excellent, service was excellent with a home feel to it. A very old building with floors you have to see. Hope to be back soon.

One of my favorite restaurants in St. Gallen. Really everything was great, excellent, upscale cuisine, great ambience and great service. Everything is just right here.

My friend and I went here to my birthday and loved it! Our server was very helpful and attentive. She was very patient with us because my friend does not speak German. She also helped us clean up after we spilled wine and the staff made my dessert for my birthday. Food and wine were amazing. Very recommended!

Typical establishment of the region, where nothing is straight. Just look at the business cards and postcards. The room leans (typical of the region) The place is nice, but noisy because it's very busy. The dishes are very good, interesting choice of wine. The bill rose to 170. for 2, with dishes around 40. We were just strolling along and noticed this restaurant down this side street that had very nice table cloths, glassware, etc. It was time for dinner so we decided to give this place a try. We were not disappointed. Wine was great, food well done....It was fun to watch the fish being filleted right at the table. Staff was attentive but did not rush us or try to move us along so the table could be used quickly for others coming to dinner. Ate outside as it was a beautiful evening. Recommend the Consumme (the Pancake Soup). It was delicious.

Dark and cramped vintage interior. Slightly nervous and impatient service, always trying to force a smile upon themselves. Confusing menu options and daily specials. Good food, well executed cuisine bourgeoise, quality ingredients. My veal Zurcher Geschnetzeltes in mushroom sauce with a few pieces of delicious morel mushrooms was really excellent but the meat portion size was inadequate and the high level of saltiness did great damage to the overall balance . Rösti side was succulent. White Austrian wine by the carafe was OK. People seemed to enjoy. Keenly prices for the Swiss. One of the better places in this beautiful town.

while we decided to visit St. Gallen with my brother, dinner in the city instead of the hotel we had booked closer to the Constance Lake. together with my niece, on the recommendation we chose the schaefli, we had booked a table...for 3 much necessary, it turned out later when the restaurant, inside and outside full and were immediately shown on our table at the arrival. the food selection was considerable, and we all had our own selection of things delivered in a good tempo. presentation was top notch, eating tasted too hungry to make pictures, but overall an excellent choice of location and in any case a place I should revisit the opportunity arise.
