Restaurant Schipfe 16

We came at noon on the almost empty terrace (2 tables had a drink), and we were kicked out with the reason: lunch we eat, we don't drink.

Stopped in here for a bite of lunch, and the view. The food was excellent and the ambiance was great. The staff were a bit disorganized, but we had a nice meal nonetheless. I‘d recommend this restaurant.

The food was very good, and also well adapted for kids (in terms of quality, quality and price). Place is really nice even if we were inside because of the rain, we at least had a nice view sitting next to the window. We will surely come back.

I only wanted a beer having stomped around Zurich for an hour or so, a seat with an excellent view and rest my feet whilst enjoying an amber beer. As expensive as expected, and paid for upfront so not to swan off without payment. I was happy with the outcome however.

I was here a few times, once for an evening, once for lunch, and both were good. It is very Swiss, perhaps not so easy to navigate in English, especially because the staff are not regular professionals. The location is wonderful, even magical, directly on the river Limmat in the western old town.

We were only in Zurich for one day and there is no shortage of dining options. We stumbled upon Schipfe 16 and it was a lovely experience. We arrived just in time before they closed for lunch and were treated to a lovely meal. Situated right on the water, the ambiance was great. Stop in and enjoy delicious food and views.

Although the food was very good and at a reasonable price, we felt like the service was more friendly. Later we discovered the background of the restaurant: Schipfe 16 is a job integration offer from the city of Zurich, which is a wonderful thing, but keep an eye on this when you keep, and do not expect an impeccable, smiling service.

Simple but great food We had a great evening at Schipfe16. The ravioli for the starter and the nut salad for the main course were delicious. It's definitely worth a visit... And the location right on the river is great... If you had served a foam (parsley foam) or chive oil with the ravioli or salmon and grated parmesan flakes over it instead of grated Parmesan... icing on the cake

We were in the area and came upon this restaurant. It is located along the Limmat river and has lovely views. We had the Korma and Ravioli. Both were delicious! We were delighted to learn about the restaurant's mission which is to offer jobs for unemployed people on social security, unemployed young people and people with disabilities. In this way, Schipfe 16 supports people reintegrating into working life. Very cool!
