Restaurant Loft - Carte

I booked the roof terrace for a family meal of over 20 of us, from the UK, on the day the signature dishes were not available, shame. Still we had a nice meal, and the helpful and friendly staff put our table inside so we didn't have to be out in the rain!

Locate the door near MacDonalds, venture into the rickety lift and you are up to the smart Loft restaurant. We only had time a drink and a snack on a Sunday lunchtime. It was a peaceful and enjoyable break away from fellow tourists. The meals looked very appetising, another time I hope!

A nice restaurant in Potsdam. Not easy to find but just at the beginning of brb.str. at 3th floor . It has really nice terrace so u can have a great view of Potsdam if u lucky like us. U could catch the great sunset. . By the way little bit pricey but it is ok. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. U can take also just a cocktail... Voir le carte

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. It on the third floor of a building on the far end of the pedestrian mall. Our meal was very nice. I had fried pike in a lemon mustard sauce with pickled cucumber salad and roasted potatoes. My husband had the house specialty, goulash with dumplings in a rich dark sauce. Both meals were very well prepared and presented nicely. The wait staff was extremely polite and provided attentive service.

Finding the entrance is easy once you understand that Loft means just that - you need to take a lift to the 3rd floor. Enter a door next to McDonalds first that looks like any other office building's. Modern style decoration, friendly and service minded staff. Food is a bit on the pricey side, but you have a selection of local specialties as well as burgers. The preussian goulasch is of a local type, not like the Hungarian but tasty. The brave could try the Potzdamer Schwarze, a blood sausage that is surprisingly nice. The pikeperch was a little on the dry side, but decent anyway.

We went looking for good German food, and found it. The atmosphere, on the rooftop of a highbuilding near the centre of Potsdam was also excellent. We both chose a cold courgette soup as a starter, since it was a hot day. It was really delicious.Then we chose a "Prussian Goulash" , full of taste and very distinctive. I thought it might have been better made with venison rather than beef. The chosen desserts, a chocolate souflle' and a raspberry dish were more interesting than delicious, but definitely acceptable. The house Riesling went down very nicely with the first two courses and we finished off with a pleasant Muscat. Altogether an enjoyable meal. The service was impeccable and the wait... Voir le carte

My opinion about this restaurant is not about the food, the food was correct and well priced. The place is ok.I will talk about an incredible incident that did not make ourselves good by being there. As I sat, I collided with a radiator and a plastic part of this was broken. The waitress, who greeted us, said that it was a break that we should pay us. She talked to his boss, who also said that we should assume that cost. At no time appeared the chief there to explain us or to present the insurance terms.It was very unpleasant to have to negotiate payment of that break and the restaurant does not take charge of that with the insurance they should have. 20 € it cost repair. we were there a few days ago. the only thing I could say is that the staff were friendly, beer was fine, however, the food was terrible. we intended to order three dishes: their very special goulash, pork knuckle, kids pork rib.the goulash was nothing like that of hungary, which the waiter did tell us before we made the order. it was nicely presented with a flower made from thin sliced carrot. but there were only 4 chunks of beef, cooked like dry wood, their special sauce did not help at all. all that for 17.50 euro, a total waste of money.the pork knuckle we specifically communicated with the host and we were seemingly understood. however, by the time the dish was brought up it was a bowl o...

My wife and I went to this restaurant for our second wedding anniversary and the place did not match the expectations. We chose the place because of the nice views of the city and thought it would suit our special event. Everything seemed perfect until we ordered the wine for our dinner. I asked for the name of the vineyard of a particular chilean wine (not stated in the wine list), the waiter said she would bring us the name right away. However, the main dishes arrived and we had no name or at list offered a recommendation for a good red wine. Of course we finished our dishes and the waiter had not showed up.
