was here at least twice during my visit. sat outside in the garden and not in the restaurant. I usually came here after lunch with a book, ordered beer and lazy for a few hours. the weather was beautiful, and when you sit in the shadow of the trees in the summer, you don't even feel the sun. a wonderful brise makes society as many other idyllic people with the same idea. there are people who play on the street keyboard, and that keeps you at laune.

on 20th we ate to four, we had not booked, the restaurant was very full inside and outside, but they offered us a table when we could wait 15 minutes, we waited with a drink at the bar next door. when the table was finished, we were picked up by the bar and accompanied to our table. we all had a delicious food (brain, Bretonian scholle, 2x pork) that was well prepared and presented. we enjoyed great desserts and great wein and the service was excellent. we are so glad that we have waited for the 15 minutes for this culinary experience. it can be highly recommended.

just arrived in berlin, we wanted to eat not too far from the hotel and landed in the restaurant refugium. the evening was very warm, so we tried to get into the hope of a climate system, but there was no one there, so we sat outside and suffered from the puppies instead. that is, the service was excellent and the speakers all well English. as we didn't want to start eating, we were served with broth and oil, followed by tuna tartar (crude) as an appetizer with a hauch curry aubergine sauce. different and delicious. the main dishes were cash on gray and reh-fit. first very good, the latter delicious, but not as tender as any confit should be. This restaurant is located in the square of Gendarmenmarkt, the former market square of Friedrichstadt. It is installed in the French church more precisely, the kitchens are in the crypt of the historical monument. People take advantage of the small terrace, with the church that gives you shade, and great parasols. Lunch time is very full. Some street artists do shows and play music. The part in the crypt is beautiful, down a red carpet to a cave with painted arches and looks like a nineteenth century coffee. Lunch is served until three o'clock in the afternoon, the menu has an Italian influence, with mozarella, basil soup, pasta dishes and fish fillets. Account 25 euros per person.

the refugium has an excellent location at Gendarmenmakt Square and serves both indoors and outdoors. prices are high, but given the situation to be expected. eating was very heterogeneous and the service was sloppy and generally unprofessional. After being set, it took 10 minutes to get the menu and the attention of the waiter, and while they fought, although some of the younger were very helpful (but they had their own tables). the attention was consistently low - and it was not a busy night. eating was good in most cases, the risotto they served was actually excellent. the desert, which was thought to be the choice of the best, however, was overall poor and rather tasteless. better service...

Oh, what makes for a different good service. I and my partner came past this restaurant on our last trip to berlin and booked a table in advance. the waiter seemed confused when we arrived and had no table for us. I knew we were facing a stony experience. the menu is not very extensive and above all vegetarian will have difficulties here to find something to eat. I understand, however, that this place is somewhat popular, as it is only a few minutes away from sofitel, hilton and other major international hotels. the terrace is very nice especially on a warm summer evening, but do not expect warm from the personal.
