Red Lion Wilstead - Menu

A few of us have had lunch there during the good summer months, We all though the food was really good! We would come back as the service was also good, I and friends recommed the Red Lion. If you are passing through Wilstead then...try the Red Lion!!

This place is a hidden gem, it serves great ales and proper pub grub, I would recommend to anybody. Excellent service big portions and very nicely put together. The cleanliness of the place is second to none. Will definitely be returning soon and more often.

we had visited this pub before and the food was good, but now it is under new management we decided to give him an attempt, and we are glad that we did because the food was excellent, it is all homemade by the chef. The...pub is very welcoming and the personal friendly, we will definitely go back there

Food was of a good standard and we were welcomed and looked after well. Since we were the only two people eating lunch it was very quiet and difficult to judge the atmosphere. Toilets were very clean and refreshed and the general decor was nice...and very tidy. Very good choice of beers and well maintained

visited here on a Tuesday night. bar was quiet, but the service was great! lady behind the bar got her name not very friendly and welcoming. that was great, we had the chickenburger and the goujons. the homemade three times baked. chips were fantastic! specials board was also very diverse, many good options. great experience, beautiful little beer garden also!

Great to find somewhere that has pie and mash like you find in London, in Bedford! Friendly and welcoming staff but the atmosphere in the pub felt odd because it was so quiet, there was no music on which meant we were sat eating with...a silent background which felt odd. The food is standard pub grub, a little overpriced but we would return, hopefully when it’s busier so it’s not so quiet.

our first visit for dinner and the cake is fabulous. I usually do not order a cake because they are in the usually disappointing, but these were delicious, much filling, crunchy baked and gravy on the side. the food is freshly prepared by gary and...serves cake hot. the premise are clean and warm and mary who recently took over the pub was very friendly and friendly. we recommend and would definitely visit again.

A friendly village pub with great pub food. We came across this lovely place by chance (after a diversion from We were greeted with a smile and served promptly. After ordering we didn’t wait long for the food to arrive. And the food was...cooked perfectly, steaks exactly as ordered. The pub itself is spotless (as well as the toilets) We will definitely be returning and would certainly recommend to others. Well worth a visit.

Came here today and ordered Aberdeen Angus Burger with Chips and I was shocked how poor it was. Staff were lovely and welcomed us in and the menu didn’t have option for a daytime menu but nether the less I was happy with the burger...option they had. It took around minutes to arrive and as soon as it came it didn’t look very appealing. The chips were okay but the burger didn’t have any salad inside and literally just was a burger with cheese. The burger itself was very dry. Quite disappointed because I had high hopes considering the other reviews.
