excellent meal and beautiful environment. we had not booked, but were very welcome with great service and delicious food made. it is recommended urgently.

Despite having several Indian takeaways much closer to us, we always make the effort to drive to New Red Chilli as the food is always fresh, generous and delicious! Food and service is always five stars would highly recommend!

The food was piping hot but the starter and main meal was unfortunately very salty. Shame as the food looked stunning. The restaurant was also quite cold. Shame as there are no more sit down Indian restaurants left in Blackwood.

Waited two and a quarter hours for a meal which we were told would be one hour and twenty minutes. Damp papadoms, cold dry chips. Curries were tasty enough. Rude on the phone. Driver looking for us in wrong town despite having given our postcode. Won't happen a second time!

We had a takeaway delivered. It took an hour to arrive. Which took way to long and was warm. When I dished it up I was very disappointed. We ordered 2 curry's and was all sauce. There was 8 pieces of lamb in one curry and not much chicken in the other. Was our first and last time we would use them. It's not as thought it was cheap, but should get what you pay for.

It was like we were an inconvenience by visiting the restaurant. Ignorant manager with almost zero personality. Grunted more than spoke. Food was thrust into the table with zero interaction from the waiter. Bland. Tasteless and swimming in grease. How this business is still open is a mystery to me as it’s always empty and after eating there I can understand why. It’s such a shame.

Had a takeaway, ordered online, paid. Meal picked up by family.... Turns out the order was a main meal short !! Not a first that the order has been incomplete, rang up and they delivered the dish about 40 minutes later so I was eating on my own. Disgraceful...they need to think a lot more about what they are doing rather than not caring after they have received the money. Will be trying another Indian takeaway from now on...they have had enough chances..

Takeaway late delivery due to issues with another drivers car but friendly and polite delivery lady. King Prawn Bhuna was very good and tasty with a good measure of prawns:sauce although it was slightly sweet so might have had some sugar added not sure but if sugar is an issue then watch out for that one. The Vindaloo sauce was good. The Onion Bhajis were dry and hard the sort that could break teeth. Binned. The tandoori chicken was nicely spiced, but extremely dry. The Sag Paneer was too watery for my liking, and the cheese looked translucent. The Parotha was very poor very dark and stale which was odd and I ended up discarding most of it to the bin. Blackwood restaurant EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE AND ATTITUDE FROM the gentleman that served us. He pushed my friends (that went 1st time there) to buy starters, despite they did not want it by saying: You have to order starters first. I said I do not want starter and he tried saying that I have to, and I said NO. HIS ATTITUDE AND TONE WAS DREADFUL EVEN BEFORE THIS ... AND GOT WORSE. Food arrived after a long time. The food was good, but he made us feel unwanted! At the time of pay, the told us only cash, but no itemised receipt or payment receipt was given to us. He offered to me when I asked, a piece of paper handwritten, but he said I cannot take it, but can do a photo. The writting is very bad...
