Best chicken or lamb Naga around, delivery is always fast and food is always hot despite us living a few miles from Maldon. Keep it up guys !

If you like old school Sylhet cuisine, you will love this takeaway. The food is rich and spicy and the portions are big. Exceptional food at a great price, with reasonably quick delivery too

On fathers day in lockdown wanted something special ordered from the Raj portions were huge food arrived on time, hot and all correct tasted FAB one of the best takeaways we've had fresh indian spices and lovely onion salad Biryani was so big and fragrant will not order Indian from anyone else now thoroughly recommend

This restaurant initially impressed with better food than other local sit-down dining options, but it seems like they may have started to lower their standards. Their sheek kebab was outstanding, but a recent visit left much to be desired as it did not live up to expectations. The lamb tikka was also disappointingly tough and chewy.

We decided to try this restaurant for the first time after receiving a flyer in our door. The delivery was quick and accurate, and the food was hot and delicious. We all enjoyed our meal, and were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary popadoms, salad, and dips. We will definitely order from here again, especially since they offer free delivery. Have had some good takeaway meals but of late can only say they have been average and even poor. The premises also leave a lot to be desired, very scruffy and not exactly clean or welcoming and makes you wonder what the kitchen is like! Staff are friendly enough but prices seem to be increasing, nearly £30 for a meal for two, consisting of 4 papadoms, 1 Nann, 2 Main (Standard Dishes) 2 Pila Rice 1 Veg Curry. Veg Curry was disgusting and looked like frozen mixed veg fried up in a sauce. We are going to try the competition in Maldon and see how it compares.

I have been a customer of The Raj for around 15 years and have seen the owners' children grow up. I have always enjoyed their food and service - mum and dad are fantastic cooks! However, I must mention that they could potentially lose customers if they continue to charge £2.25 for extra garlic. I jokingly requested extra garlic on my garlic naan, expecting a little more garlic to be added for free, but was surprised to be charged for a small amount - just half a clove! The owners have worked hard to establish a successful takeaway business, and it would be a shame to lose loyal customers over these minor extra charges. Come on, guys!

Lovely Indian take away from the raj. We got delivery and love the Indian from here. It was quite busy on Saturday night but well worth the wait. The food was really good. We ordered king prawn purée, which was so tasty. If you like tomato, onions spicy sauce with prawns on a thin pancake. Definately order this from the starters. Ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken jalfrezi, pilau rices and peshwari and keema naans. Also poppadoms with onion salad and dips. All was so tasty and piping hot when it was delivered. Reasonably priced too. You got 20 percent off and then if you go and collect you get 30 percent off. Definately the best Indian take away in maldon. Definately be ordering from ther... Voir le carte
