"We have visited Puccinis over several decades but sadly I think this one will be our last. The front of house service was faultless with attentive staff but unfortunately the same cannot be said for most of the food which was served to our family group. The garlic bread, which has always been legendary, was served with virtually raw, mouth burning garlic. My mother ordered fresh scallops which came drowned in a sauce that masked any flavour from the four tiny scallops. Surely given the price tag of this dish the chef could have thought of a better way to cook and present scallops. Two of our group ordered pate which was obviously not homemade and came with a very poorly presented bit of salad namely iceberg lettuce, reminiscent of something from the 1970 's, and a few slices of burnt cheap white baguette. It 's the lack of attention to detail in the presentation and the use of cheap produce that was such a disappointment. Why is an Italian restaurant not using proper ciabatta and better quality salad produce ? The seafood linguine, which has always been a favourite of my family, was destroyed by the use of the same nameless sauce and a mountain of pasta. In the past this dish was wonderfully fresh and tasty but now it just feels as though the same slimy sauce is being used to cover everything. I normally don 't like to post bad reviews but hopefully Michael will read this and do something about the standard of the food being served as it is not representative of Puccini 's long standing great reputation."

Very disappointed, ordered scallops and received 4tiny scallops drenched in a very strong dark sauce,so could not taste the scallops, the same sauce was served on the seafood marinara spaghetti which had a small octopus which was so tough it was impossible to eat.

Service was excellent Ambience Excellent We chose the lunch menue which was satisfactory. We have eaten here before closing the main menu, this was excellent. It's worth considering lowering your expectations for the cheaper menu, this being a 3 course menu for under 20 pounds you are not going to get the premium quality food. What we had was good and certainly a step up from a chain Italian restaurant.

We went for my youngest 16th birthday meal .we didn't mention this at booking .we all loved the food and atmosphere and on chatting was asked if we were there for a special occasion and replied my daughter's birthday .we were then surprised by a celebration desert with candle with staff and the owner coming to wish her a happy birthday.it was such a lovely heartfelt surprise and really made our evening.its very clear that the staff are like a family there and you can tell with the great genuine atmosphere.couldnt have had a better evening anywhere else.thanks so much see you soon

I had my daughters christening here in 2020 and the food was superb, we came back after lockdown and it was terrible. I thought I’d give it another go today with my daughter. We orders, olives, garlic bread and ribs for starters, spag Bol and the Christopher penne. The food was dire nothing like it’s hay day. Most certainly nothing like traditional Italian food like it use to be. Will never be back. On a positive wine nice and staff friendly. Very expensive for location and standard of food. £18 for a starter and nearly £20 for a small pasta dish that had fillet steak in it, that’s a Joke more like over cooked rump. I understand cost of living increases and trying to claw back money from loc...

It was extremely busy, we booked for 6.30pm and had to wait 15 mins for a menu as they ran out, not a great start.Service was hit and miss, staff all nice enough, just clearly too busy to provide the service you’d expect for the price you pay. Let’s discuss price, it’s way too expensive for a restaurant in Swinton, these prices are similar to the top Italians in town, that’s where the comparison ends. £17 for a starter of Scollops, and so on)The atmosphere was similar to the Trafford centre food hall for those that have been, certainly not the romantic night I was hoping for with my wife. Overall it wasn’t great, the food was just okay, our Garlic Bread Cheese side was burnt, to be fair they...

we went for my brothers birthday and the food was absolutely stunning but was really slow! the staff aren’t very welcoming and the owner of it is very distant. there is no parking. if you tell them it’s a birthday, they will give you a little profita roll and ice cream and sing happy birthday to you (on the house) but, the family next to us were also celebrating a birthday and brought in a cake to the restaurant to ask them to present that instead so, the birthday song came on and they brought out the cake and it ended up going to the wrong table- ours.. my brother (being a young child) was over the moon with this massive ice cream cake and didn’t question a thing (as it was his bday) but th...

We booked a table for a family birthday celebration. Excellent once again. We were shown to our table on arrival. Service was excellent the waiting staff were both friendly efficient. We were there to celebrate a child’s birthday. Candles in the desert, music played the family celebration was a great success. We were made to feel very welcome. Staff always to hand for drinks, table clearing etc. I had the seafood risotto highly recommend this dish. A great deal of different seafood in a delicious, creamy sauce. Seating arrangements allow a dining experience to be an individual occasion. A family of 5 plus a baby we had generous seating, which allowed the party no unnecessary interaction with...

We don 't go to Puccinis every month or even every year but when we do go for a special occasion the food has always been great and the service attentive from Michael and his team. We started going to the restaurant when they used to be where Halifax building society is on the precinct and if a table wasn 't available you had to wait in the basement having drinks . They moved down to the lower level of the precinct after a few years and expanded again . Over the years we have had great times there and reading recent reviews was a little worried and thought it had changed hands . Well last night 's meal and experience didn’t disappoint. We took visiting family for dinner , booked a table for...

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
