Best place to eat in Stratford, so good amazing lamb and duck. Brilliant service, had a really brilliant time

What an amazing place !! Great food lovely atmosphere and great house wine too. Good social distancing and very relaxing considering the times we are in.

We were the only customers in the restaurant, yet we still waited 30 minutes for our appetizers and an additional 30 minutes for our main courses. The service was too slow, and the prices were too high.

Had an amazing meal with my partner on Saturday evening. The main courses were divine with us sampling the duck and the pork. By far the best main courses we have had for a long time. Really glad we chose to dine here.

Lovely small restaurant very quiet food was ok we all had steak which was nice we were a table of four so we felt we where a bit noisy as all other tables where couples obviously due to covid tables where well spaced out

We waited 45 minutes for our starters, and we even had to send one back twice! In the end, we spent an hour and a half there, and my partner hadn't eaten anything. We were then informed that our main courses would take another 10 minutes, so we decided to leave. It appeared that many other tables had similar experiences. The staff were very apologetic and didn't charge us for the starters or drinks, but overall, it was a disappointing experience. We ended up going to Veeno around the corner, where we received excellent service and food! Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

So glad we booked this restaurant, it's a hidden gem and we'll worth visiting, the staff are fantastic giving a great service from you the time you walk through the door. The food is amazing, cooked to perfection and delicious, you will not be disappointed. The restaurant is lovely, a perfect setting for an enjoyable meal on a date night or one with friends. We had a great evening here, I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone local that has never been and to anyone visiting the area to try it. Don't change a thing guys, the service the food and the atmosphere were perfect, thank you.

What a hidden gem this restaurant is, tucked away in a not-so-great area in the heart of Stratford. The welcome, service, and food were truly outstanding. Katy and her staff are attentive and friendly hosts. I tried the duck, which was perfectly cooked (still pink inside) and was the best dish I've had in a restaurant in years. We were informed that our meals would take some time since everything is made from scratch—which we could definitely tell—and we were pleasantly surprised by complimentary nibbles while we waited. My friends had lamb and sea bream, and they loved their meals as well. It’s unfortunate that Prospero had full bookings but many people didn’t show up or canceled. This rest...
