"drive from belfast to larne to try this place with the family. was impressed by how eddie the owner was friendly. he took time to have a chat. we feel like home. when we arrived where we made free house to begin seasonal cracker. with .we ordered a few appetizers and some pornstars. every meal was prepared with love and passion.it showed on the presentation. was not just thrown on the plate. the dish was excellent in terms of taste, taste and portion size. never tasted so good at location. price was also fair...will be back to try more delicious joys. thank you. "Always pleased to return here and, gosh, this time it had been far too long! I was dizzy with anticipation about the refurb, especially seeing the upgraded ladies' loos. At last, at last the 80s look has gone. All good. During the Olympics, we found ourselves watching a Rugby League match on the bar screen which was rather odd, we thought. We started with the chowder which was absolutely delicious and full of many different ingredients. We loved the very dark wheaten bread that came with it. My main was beef shortrib. This was pretty good, although more sauce would have gone down well. My husband said something similar about his lamb dish. The service was excellent. The waiter was polite and extremely pleasant. Wine by the glass comes in mini bottles. Friends had recommended dirty fries which aren't on the current menu. This wasn't a problem and we took home the very tasty dirty fries we couldn't manage. A pleasant dinner. The refurb gets rid of the sports bar feel, but I am not convinced Ruby has found her best look quite yet."

"This is the place for a proper full fry. I was over moving my partner home and we came here as usual. The food and service is excellent. A couple of our party had to pop out but the kitchen didn't send out their food to go cold but waited for them to return and served up a hot breakfast. Being an English visitor seeing service and thoughtfulness like this is unusual, in the UK the food would have been chucked on the table and left to go cold. And when 6 of you can have 6 full breakfasts and it cost less than £50 is brilliant value"

"This charming cafe offers a wide variety of delicious dishes on their menu, although it can be a bit expensive, it's definitely worth it for a special indulgence. The service is excellent and perfect for a leisurely lunch. The recommended dish is their delicious Toastie."

"current proprietor Vincent, a delightful man who is looking after his guests very well. the food is delicious and we have come a few times. HOWEVER........ we had such an unpleasant experience with another guest who said that he was the owner Tony) who was the rudest and most foul-mouthed person, who basically said we never are allowed to return. the reason for him was , because we had asked if his partner could hold a cigarette outside to the other side of us whilst we are lunching. she was very polite and did . he however , was NOT....shame , i won't come again !"
