"We’ve driven past this pub on many occasions and decided to give it a try as we love Greek food. The first impression was the lady behind the bar telling the waitress twice quite strongly that we would be sitting downstairs. So no choice of sitting outside then! The young service team were doing their best. But we had to chase our drinks order. The starters were nice. Pricey but nice. Lots of people taking their food home as the portions were large. I had ordered moussaka with the view to taking some home if I could not eat it all. When it arrived it had been pre portioned and was therefore not freshly cooked. It was dry and crispy on the bottom as if it had been kept warm for hours. The worst moussska I have ever had. I left half of it and did not take it home. My partner ordered s lamb kebab which was also dry. I told the young waiter about the moussska to which he apologized. I said to him it’s ok you’re not the chef. So we paid the pricey bill and left. No deduction for the food. I like to support local businesses but sadly will not be returning to this one."

Great place to eat. The food was amazing, portions are very generous. The fireplaces made the place cosy and gave it the right atmosphere. The service was excellent too. Definitely will be back very soon.

We went there for a birthday dinner last week and everything was perfect. The service is second to none and the food is absolutely amazing. The price are reasonable especially for the portion servedLiving locally, we will definitely go back and recommend this gem of a restaurant.

We had our first take away from here tonight and I can say we will definitely be going back. We visited here a few times before Covid and it is just as good with friendly staff. The food is tasty, you get plenty of it. The prices are very reasonable and waiting time is really good. Voir le carte

The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty, made with fresh ingredients and full of homemade flavors. The baklava is the best we've ever had, even after visiting Greece many times. Highly recommended. The only suggestion would be to turn up the Greek music a bit and provide better heating in the restroom.

We had a fantastic dining experience at this cozy restaurant with attentive staff who were great with kids. The food was delicious with generous portions, but we were surprised by the high price of soft drinks. We were charged £45 for 9 large cokes, which seemed excessive at £5 per glass. Despite this, we enjoyed our evening and would consider sticking to tap water on our next visit.

I can’t talk for the restaurant but a relative of mine said that they had an awful take away from here but as I had heard so many good reviews off people I wanted to try for myself… Wish I hadn’t! My partner had some first and said it was awful greasy! The couscous looked awful and the chicken was watery! I literally ate the hummus and that was it! The rest was just disgusting! An expensive mistake! Voir le carte

We fancied something different and ordered a take away from Plough and Harrow Greek Taverna tonight. The food was simply amazing! We ordered the mini meze which was tasty, fresh and enough for 2 adults and a child. The service was brilliant and nothing was a problem (we asked to substitute the taramasalata as we don't really eat it). We'd highly recommend Plough and Harrow and are already looking forward to eating their delicious food again!

We attended an ABBA Tribute night for a Christmas party at a cost of £35, which included a glass of bubbly upon arrival, food, and entertainment. We arrived at 7pm and enjoyed kebabs with lamb, chicken, and vegetables, delicious garlicky potatoes, and baklava for dessert. The ABBA tribute act was fantastic, with two performers who really engaged the audience. There weren't many people in attendance, which provided plenty of space but lacked some atmosphere. Drinks were a bit pricy, with £8 for a glass of wine and generous Greek measures for shorts. Similar to Greece, guests were asked not to flush paper down the toilets. We were disappointed that the entertainment ended at 9:30-10pm, just as...

"Having been to the Phoenix several times and I believe, this to be my second average review of the food and service, you 'd think they would have taken heed, but clearly not. Firstly, like most top end restaurants in London, they are reserving the right to charge for no shows £20 per head). But, what they are also doing, which is very unfair, is charging you for cancellations within 24 hours of the booking at £10 per head. If one or more of our friends had fallen ill over night it 's the flu season at the moment), they would have been were forced to go for an expensive average Sunday lunch, whilst spreading their germs to the other diners. It also poses the question, what would some do if you book a table less than 24 hours like we did) and then decide to cancel? The excuse that orders for food have already been placed doesn 't really hold water. The Sunday menu forces you to order a minimum of 2 courses at £34 per head. Some of the top London restaurants are charging less for far more opulent Sunday roasts e.g. the Jugged Hare at the Barbican). The Sunday lunch served was simply very average and not value for money. Finally, why are the desserts here, always consistently so bad? I ordered a baked cheesecake and got cream squirted on a piece of cake. When I asked what I had been served, I was told it was chef 's interpretation of a cheesecake. The menu clearly stated baked cheesecake. Not even in my wildest dreams can you interpret a baked cheesecake as a piece of cake with creamed squirted on it! This was promptly returned and replaced with a vile chocolate tart, with pastry so hard I couldn 't cut into it without the fear of smashing the plate it was served on. The chocolate was over salted and the chantilly cream served with it unsweetened. Save your money, go elsewhere."
