"The staff, I suppose, fairly enough, is not too bad. They do not ignore you at least, and are somewhat cordial. The staff served us within a reasonable time limit. Their attitude and service is about the only saving grace of their business. However, the..."food" they serve here, if you can even call it such, drags their real-time performance downwards into an abyss. We ordered pasta dishes and a soup. The pasta were clearly not home-made, and were factory-made and mass-produced. Low quality pasta really. They were soaked it salt, but its overuse failed to elevate the dishes and instead blatantly exacerbated the industrial origin of the food. The pasta sauce barely contained anything else than industrially-prepared watery tomatoes. Not even a single chunk of fresh vegetable or meat in the sauce. Basically the typical kind of ready-made and microwavable pasta sauce you would find in an ordinary grocery store, tucked in a counter behind dusty cobwebs and left to sit there bathed in additives for eons. I believe that native Italians would probably be aghast and revolted with this sham Italian cuisine. I certainly am, so can you imagine their reactions if they ever had the misfortune to sample the cooking here. The soup...Basically water and salt and not much else. Although the prices were low, I still feel robbed of my money because the quality was really deplorable. The restaurant itself is located in a great location, at the junction of several streets and in a small plaza, a few hundred meters near the Lake Constance shores, but completely wastes its privileged downtown location. In terms of hygiene, it was mediocre too, with oily surfaces inside, and in the bathroom. Said bathroom was small, cramped, dark and not very clean. Overall, I would not come back here again, and strongly urge people who have not been to Bregenz, to avoid this restaurant, unless you are looking to be disappointed, putting it lightly. This place is a touristic trap, and really lowers the quality of restaurants in Austria in general (I'm pretty sure that Salzburg, Vienna, and Graz have set astronomically much higher standards, but for some reason, Bregenz falls short of them)"

All of the personel shout and whistle at passing girls. Also very young girls. During the Corona-time they shake hands and touch each other

Manche Gerichte sehr gut, manche nicht wirklich. Risotto nicht zu empfehlen. Nettes Personal. Pluspunkt: so viel Parmesan auf die Pasta wie man will

Unbelievable service from their waiters. Had a great time there and they have a nice terrace. If you are looking for good food, good service and good mood, definitely visit this restaurant!

Travelling around Europe for business I stopped at this restaurant for an easy dish which is Pizza. You don’t feel welcome and put aside from the waiters and because the cream comes on the top ... the coffee was cold and the dessert never came

Netter Italiener: Wir waren heute hier in essen.

You are walking in this area of Bregenz looking for a restaurant and you see here the last free table thinking that must be good when it’s full. Mistake.. The service couldn’t be more unfriendly.. We ordered only an antipasti plate (tasteless by the way)...and one pizza to share and they forgot the pizza but nobody was coming to explain that, we had to ask every single waiter until finally we got the pizza like min later and it wasn’t so amazing for that time waiting

When walking past one day we decided to make a reservation for the evening. Back at our hotel we looked at Tripadvisor and having read some of the reviews we were starting to regret having made a reservation. Nevertheless we decided to go and form...our own opinion and I am certainly glad we did. It was very busy and having reserved a table was of benefit. My wife and I both had pizza and they were very good. The service was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were very glad we went

"Another entry into the list of Things that are Awesome about Austria, in a small town (a suburb of Bregenz, essentially that is part of the eastern Bodensee resort scene. We showed up without a reservation, and were seated in the pleasant garden, the tables far apart to ensure privacy in conversation and discreet movement by the staff, always a good sign in a better restaurant. We were offered a refreshing shot of watermelon juice at the start good, although more usual between dishes in a longer menu. We started with seafood: a superb combination of tuna, greens, and veal (unexpectedly good, and the preparation of the tuna put to shame many establishments supposedly specialising in seafood ; and an octopus based dish, which did not enthral Mr A, who objected to the combination with mussels. (Is this a central European thing? The closer you go to the Mediterranean, the simpler the serving of octopus: it has a delicate flavour, and does not require much done to it. If it had been served as in the other starter, it would be better, he said. For our mains we went for rib eye steaks with chimi churry (sic which we both found excellent: cooked to a perfect medium rare, with just the right amount of bite in the centre too often restaurants do a medium rare with the core of the meat nearly raw, which misses the point: a good medium rare locks the flavour in; if you slice it and too much seeps out, it's not done properly. Mr A declared the accompanying skin on potatoes were very good. I should have asked why the beef was imported from the US; Austria has amazing local beef (the Vorarlberg pastures are just round the corner! . We finished off with a delicate combination of chocolat,e pistachio, and cherries (for myself and an caloric explosion of ice cream and hot chocolate for Mr A. The Merlot recommended was just right for the meat, the espresso was decent, and the service was excellent. The prices are on the expensive side: our three course meal with only two glasses of wine and a soft drink cost as much as I'd expect the same meal with a whole bottle of good wine to cost. But, hey: you get what you pay for, and this was worth it. We'd go again, happily."
