"The food wasn’t all that bad, pizza a little dry. Our biggest disappointment was the service. We got some very delicious complimentary bread and olive oil when we first arrived. After a long day of checking out the city we were very hungry and while waiting for our food we asked for some more bread. The server seemed so offended and did not bring any more bread. We finished our meal, ordered some more food, and she still had not brought the bread. I understand maybe it’s culturally unacceptable for the restaurant to serve more bread, but it really isn’t that big of an ask and if it helps us enjoy our meal more, why be so rude about it? Eventually she brought the bread when our meal was completely over and we were all full, after we had asked a second time. And when she did, the bread was very cold, unlike the first basket she brought out. Overall, I think the servers poor attitude completely ruined our meal. We didn’t feel very welcome in the restaurant, and though the food was good, the experience was terrible because of the server."

It works like that, I've had much better Bolgnes, the pasta with it was good, but overall I've eaten much better in pizzerias.

Great food and very nice decorated place, but in the summer they didn’t have any air conditioning and we had to eat in 30+ degrees, too hot to enjoy a meal.

Wanted to eat a calzone pizza. I received a quatro stazzione simply closed and without an egg. The bottom side was just soft (that's just how it was). We had a voucher. And we were then ignored and not treated kindly. A pity

The restaurante is centrally located in Basel, where it's full of restaurants. The food was great same as the service, waiters are friendly and professional. The quality of the food is fantastic, II had a good Italian rose wine, a delicious Miss Italia pizza, perfectly cooked and one of the most incredible tiramisu I have ever tried. Congratulations !

I chose the option, namely the seafood pasta. Extremely disappointing, the ingredients certainly come from a ready-made frozen preparation. I'm not a big eater, but the portion was more for a child than for an adult and what's more, at an exorbitant price. It was very bland, barely warm and nothing “homemade” prepared. A few small cubes of very hard tuna with sesame seeds, pieces of dry langoustines and tiny slices of squid. I cook better at home for much less money.

The statement once and never again hits the spot. The restaurant doesn't make much of an effort and is out to rip off the masses. Anyone who eats at a real Italian restaurant will quickly notice everything that doesn't fit here and is totally overpriced. The following examples: A Pizza Margeritha costs 18. CHF, if you want a prsciutto you add another 7. CHF on top of the 18. CHF. You then get a pizza in which the cheese is saved and the consistency is like a pizza that you eat on Warm up in the microwave the next day. Gummy soft edge combined with practically zero taste. Three out of four wine glasses were full of lipstick from the previous visitors

"Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The decor and interior is classy retro French with high ceilings, arches, classic chandeliers, large windows and round tables with candles. Ambience is warm and intimate. Service was top notch and impeccable. Staff were all knowledgeable with refreshing attention to details. Cuisine was modern french with Mediterranean influences, flavors were complex and dynamic. Ingredients were chosen carefully and courses were presented beautifully. I liked all of my courses, highlights of the menu were the Sardine Macaron, Langoustine curry, Red Mullet filet and the French saddle of lamb with mediterranean flavors. Wine pairing was excellent and enhanced every course taste and flavor. Sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable yet intimidating a bit. The French Cheese selections from Maître Antony in Ferrette was aromatic, rich and satisfying, Maître Antony is one of the best in the world that many Michelin starred Chefs get their fine cheeses selection from. The night ended well with a couple of delightful desserts courses, few delectable bites and some velvety chocolate. Overall, we had an elevated fine dining experience that will bring me back if in Basel again."
