"It's been a while since I've been to a pub/restaurant where I felt completely at ease inviting myself. The meal was excellent, and the menu was diverse. Everyone was very friendly—it's definitely one of the best places I've been to. I will definitely return. We had the Sunday dinner, but honestly, the menu was so good that I could have picked anything."

"After plenty of recommendations from friends my wife and I decided it was time to try out the Royal Oak ! My wife called Sunday morning and spoke to a young worker called Charlotte who’s service was simply impeccable from start to finish. She was extremely polite on the phone whilst taking our booking and helpful, this was still the case when we arrived a few hours later for our table. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she had a constant infectious smile on her face. We was given a table in the restaurant which had a nice atmosphere and feel to it. The whole place itself is cosy and oozes with charm. Now about the food… INCREDIBLE. June had a roast beef lunch the meat was tender and a huge portion and I tried a meal off the specials board lamb fruit curry . Superb . What a brilliant meal we both had !! We will be back soon"

"We visited this establishment last Saturday. Met by very helpful lady who provided menus and came back a few minutes later to take our drinks order. We took our dog who was welcomed and they brought him some gravy bones which went down exceptionally well. Young lady came back and took our food order which came within 15 minutes as it is all cooked fresh on the premises. Food was excellent as was the service, friendly atmosphere and dogs welcome, quite a few dogs were in the restaurant. Would recommend this friendly establishment and will certainly return ."

"We regularly order from the great season, and it comes through every time. They have a great variety of food, and quite a few vegetarian options which is always great! The staff are also always so lovely. Vegetarian options: There are more vegetarian options than in a usual Chinese restaurant which is great Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner"

"We were a booking of 6, two couples and two singles each ordering from the set menu for £16. We had to initially ask for the set menu when there was some confusion about it being used even though it is advertised on your website. We all ordered from the menu but were all over charged as the girl behind the bar put the meals through wrong even when we said they were from the set menu. As we sat down and realised we had all been over charged (some over £8) we then had to all go back for refunds, causing lots of confusion, just not a great experience when we went out for an occasion."
