"I went to this restaurant last night to celebrate my uncle's 90th birthday. We were lucky to have made a reservation because the place was very busy when we arrived. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was chaotic, with people standing next to our table while we were trying to eat. The manager did not welcome us and the seating was too close together, causing staff to bump into customers while carrying food. One person even had food spilled on their clothes. It was a disappointing start to our meal, as we had hoped for a cozy Italian dining experience. The starters were small, with only enough garlic bread and bruschetta for each person to have half. Our main dishes were delayed, and when they arrived, they were not very impressive. The portions were small and the food seemed rushed. Dessert was also lacking, with only a few profiteroles and lots of chocolate sauce. The service was not great either, as the waitress could not answer questions about the cheese used for the cheese and biscuits. Overall, this was the most expensive and least satisfying Italian meal we have ever had. It felt more like fast food than a traditional dining experience. We did not feel safe in the crowded restaurant and it is clear that the owners do not seem to care about customer feedback. We have been to many Italian restaurants in both Italy and the UK, and this was by far the worst. Some people may be happy with this establishment, but we would advise others to spend their money elsewhere."

beautiful meal, great staff and an excellent place to have a meal. I'm not a big pasta fan, but the spag bol turned me around and we'll go back to christchurch next time

The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere, with very friendly staff and delicious food at affordable prices. If we lived nearby, we would definitely be regular customers. It's always a positive sign when locals are filling up the restaurant, as they were tonight.

large ambiente with this authentic Italian feeling offers pinocchio a reasonable selection of Italian meals. the special dishes were delicious. the standard pasta dishes, where okay for the price. While none of our party had the pizzas, melt them and looked delicious.

Tried to get a meal at 8:45 could see chef in kitchen throwing a hissy fit and lady that couldn’t be bothered either way telling me kitchen was closed despite other diners in restaurant so no we cant have a table local business turning away money what a joke will never return ….

we got the window seat that is a very scary area to avoid. my cannelloni was delicious. the part of arrabiata my partner was quite small and there was hardly a speck in it. the dessert selection was short, but we enjoyed what we ordered. I can't comment on the pizza. the service was polite and professional.

The food service provided by the young waitresses was good, but the overall experience was marred by the owner/manager, a woman. It is baffling how this restaurant has stayed in business with her in charge! Not only does she speak rudely to her staff, but customers also notice and are affected by her behavior.

Haven’t been to this restaurant for a long time , many years infact and wow it hasn’t changed in the slightest. Beautiful authentic Italian at its best, outstanding food attentive service and very reasonable, this place has it all atmosphere , service and beautiful food , can’t wait to return for my birthday in April

We were lucky to get a last minute booking here (booked the evening before), especially as people with no bookings were being turned away as the place was so busy. The service was very good considering how busy it was and the wait meant we felt we weren't being rushed. The food was excellent. I loved my pizza, just the right size for one person. The prosecco was very good too and the prices very reasonable.
