Gastropub quality Sunday lunch served with friendly and efficient staff and a small range of wine and beer, larger choice of soft drinks. Really good meat, imaginatively cooked vegetables, generous portions, there was a vegetarian option as well.

We stopped in for coffee and cake before visiting Brecon Cathedral. The staff was very friendly, with big smiles and helpful service. The cakes were delicious, especially the lime and courgette. It was a pleasant stop before exploring the interesting cathedral. We are glad we came here.

The tearooms are situated in the grounds of Brecon Cathedral and is a lovely place to stop for refreshments. We ordered coffee and tea and enjoyed freshly made welsh cakes, the best I have ever tasted! We recommend a stop here and wether you want a lunch or snack you will not be disappointed. Voir le carte

Our second visit with a gap of 3 years . Again we sat outside in the grounds of Brecon cathedral, just perfect. Lovely menu , we enjoyed sandwiches and sparkling water , overlooking the flowers . Tad expensive, not what I would normally pay , but we just loved the surrounding. Very friendly staff

Our family of four found this a welcome lunch stop. My family had brie and cranberry toasties which they all enjoyed. As the only vegan I had to ask for a dish. Luckily the chef was very accommodating and made me a gorgeous houmous and roasted vegetable sandwich with granary bread and ready salted crisps and salad. Would reccommend!

We had a pleasant walk and were excited for a nice lunch afterwards. Unfortunately, the waitress was unfriendly and not helpful. The quiche came with a small salad and two tiny half-cut potatoes. When we requested more salad and potatoes, we were charged an additional £3.50 for the potatoes and £3.95 for the salad, bringing the total to £18.55. We will not be returning to this restaurant. Lovely quiet spot for lunch that we found through TA. Out of the way from the centre of town but not far to walk at all. Lovely setting by the cathedral and we sat outside under a huge tree. Really lovely lace to eat our lunch. We had a Welsh rarebit which came with a great garnish and coleslaw type salad which was tasty and a higher standard than the usual blob of gloop and slice of cucumber you get in some other places!

Another excellent meal at this lovely cafe in an idyllic setting. Sad to see the notice that the cafe is closing on September 28th . This will be a big loss to many people not least the employees.. I must say the prices charged by the cafe are on the low side, making it very good value for the punters but less so for the owners. I wonder if a re assessment might point towards making the business more sustainable. If not thank you for memorable times over many years

My daughter brought me to this cafe for coffee. When I went to the counter to place my order, I was told abruptly that it was table service, even though the person in front of me had just placed an order. I went outside and eventually had to ask for service. The only gluten-free food available was cake, while my daughter ordered Welsh rarebit. Our drinks arrived, but after 20 minutes, I had to ask the waitress where the Welsh rarebit was. The service was lacking, but the young waitress was pleasant. A few suggestions for the cafe: have a sign clearly stating that table service is available, have notices for reserved tables, and offer more gluten-free options beyond cake. Hopefully, the new m...
