Pendel - Menu

Good outdoor seating. Pendel has excellent drinks for after work prices. The food is good without being anything special.

A friend and I had a nice, relaxing lunch today at Pendel. I had the Caesar salad and potato soup, both of which were tasty, and our server was excellent.

We dropped in during a busy time, but the nice waiter found a table for us. The portions are huge and next time we will share. The quality of our burgers was very good and the service came always with a smile! A nice place...to hang around for some time and enjoy.

Great food, excellent quality, good atmosphere. I've probably been to Pendel/Cartoon about times in the past year I always keep coming back because the food is always great. Staff are brilliant with English customers. Good restaurant for all types of people family,...friends, couples etc.

Popped in for quick drink the waitress took a while to come and serve us then returned a while later asking us if we wanted a drink, we said we've already ordered and she said oh sorry problems with the system. While we had her...we ordered a cocktail as it was happy hour the drinks did turn up with the cocktail a bit later they were okay.

We visited Pendel during a recent visit to Germany and we not disappointed. We shared some small plates to start with including nachos (which were surprised did not come with melted cheese) and chicken wings. I then ordered a pizza with prosciutto ham, rocket and...Parmesan which was delicious (and pretty big Our waitress was friendly and very helpful and spoke good English which we were grateful for as none of us could speak a word of German!

Myself and my partner went here last night for some dinner. It was happy hour and the Sex on the beach' cocktail was really delicious. The lady who served us was very pleasant and friendly considering it was a busy night. The food was also...very nice (I had a spicy pizza and my boyfriend had the BBQ burger). Unfortunately the only downfall was we waited around minutes for food. We were also charged for three beers instead of two, which when addressed we were given another beer after the meal. I would go back here and just hope that the service would be more prompt next time.

Five of us went to Cafe Pendel this evening. The place was busy, the beer was good, but one of our food orders went astray. It was a rumpsteak that only showed up after two requests, and when everybody else was almost done eating. The...steak was OK, but the parsley butter, the featured seasoning, was missing. It took two more requests for that to appear. Curious, we tracked down where the waitress had gone to get it. She had ducked out the back door into Kasernenstrasse, and into Cafe Bistro Cartoon. We watched awhile and saw busboys carrying stacks of covered plates from Cartoon into Pendel. All the food was coming from there! No wonder the service was slow and unresponsive. So walk around...

Decide to have dinner at Pendel. It's a bar but it also serves food. It has seating inside but also outside seating too. When the lady waiter realized we didn't understand German, they offered us an English menu. In terms of beer choices, they had...a few choices but had many choices for other alcoholic drinks. They offered many choices in their food menu from appetizers to snacks that included pizzas, pastas, burgers, and sandwiches. I decided to go for the Grillteller (basically sirloin steak, pork steak and turkey sausages) with a side dish of green salad while my colleague went for Sirloin steak.
