Peking House - Carte

Ordered takeaway Saturday night. Sweet and sour chicken noodles etc. Truly disgusting food which went straight in the bin. Only thing edible were the chips. Complete waste of money. Avoid!

Been to most Chinese in area and found this the best one. I've had a few dodgy experiences in other places where the chicken didn't taste fresh, but Peking House always tastes fresh and clean

Disgusting the vegetable spring roll was rotten. It must have been left over from another day. When complained we were offered another one free next time we use this takeaway. There will not be another visit. Voir le carte

Have been coming here for over 25 years and never had a bad meal. Food is fresh and tasty, not overly greasy like some places. Good quick service. Used to come here with my Dad as a child and now I take my kids there!

I have been ordering from here for years and I have not had any complaints yet. I was very surprised by some of the reviews as I recommend this takeaway all the time. As I say have been going here for years and can honestly say it’s been very good.

We have a take away from this outlet quite often. Good variety and good portion sizes. It usually lasts twice for us as we are not big eaters. They deliver but not at busy times. There is a car park out the front but it can get very busy. Price wise it s about what take aways charge. Voir le carte

The rating of this takeaway in my opinion is wrong , I have eaten in Oriental Express, Terry's, Rendezvous, wroughton Chinese, way2eat , China kitchen among others many times, the thing they all have in common is they aren't very good. This place on the other hand is far better they put crispy beef in a container with air gaps so when it arrives jts crispy not sweaty , the chicken fillets in sweet chilli sauce were really good, Beef and black bean pretty good , portions plentiful, no idea why its rated so badly We have to travel to collect this and granted there are some crappy dishes but on the whole spot on

This Chinese takeaway experience was one of the worst I've ever had. The chips were undercooked and almost raw, making them inedible. The salt and pepper seasoning was decent, with lots of fresh chili, but the chips ruined the dish. The seaweed was okay, but had stalky/spiky bits and not much dried fish. The chicken balls were solid and the batter was soggy. The satay chicken had a strange texture and was served in watered down sauce with cucumber, which was unappetizing. On the positive side, the ordering process, payment, and speed of service were good. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the place was busy for a Sunday night. I'm going to leave this review because this is the second time the same thing has happened to me from 2 separate take aways (the other being Wagamama last night) in less than one week. Usually I have the beef sate it's usually wonderful lovely peanut sauce with a bit of a spice, it has onions and cucumber in it and I have it with boiled rice. This past Saturday lunch time I take my first mouthful and I literally spat it straight out because it was full of chilli. Totally inedible the sauce was so hot my mouth and lips were stinging for ages. I am sick of getting take aways home and then finding something wrong with them usually too much chilli or pepper.
