Great fish chips. Piping hot and the fish was white, a good knowledge that the fish is very fresh. I couldn't taste the sea, but I enjoyed the faire nevertheless. Charging 75p to use a debit card is daylight robbery. Your bank doesn't even charge you a fraction of that amount. Calling it a service charge when you've not given a service at point of sale. The place has gone downhill lately, unfortunately. Both the quality of food and service have been disappointing the last couple of times I've been. I recently purchased a wrap and the chips tasted refried even though the shop was busy. Pizzas used to be the best I'd had from a chippy but again, the last couple haven't been as nice and were overcooked. The staff seem nice but service is slow at times and the staff seem to talk amongst themselves a lot and on more than one occasion I've seen people behind the coutner picking at food and eating. I'm not sure what the change has been as it's the same staff I've always seen there and it doesn't seem busier in the shop than say, a year ago. Price...

Used to be the best place around for fish and chips but sadly has gone drastically down hill in food quality. We’ve noticed a decline over last few orders but have persevered and given many chances in the hope of improvement. Unfortunately tonight’s order was awful. Food arrived luke warm and had obviously been sweating a while in its packaging. Both fish and chips were soggy, tasteless and barely warm. Fish was very thin and questionable whether it really was cod. Had ordered in as we had guests round for the evening.
