"This morning my husband and I wanted to have a good breakfast and went to the Pasticceria dal Mas, relying on the reviews. The environment smelled good, even the pastry shop was inviting, it was clear that behind all this there was the expert hand of professionals. We were patiently in the queue, while a young lady, named Gloria, was having a conversation with a customer, she had met her several years ago and they both remembered shared places (she was referring to a job and other), all this was taking place while we continued to stand in line, which by then had reached the door. At a certain point my husband 's cell phone rings, we are in Venice for work, and at that moment Miss Gloria stops conversing, after more than 5 minutes, and abruptly invites my husband to move away from the queue and apostrophizes him rude” adding that you don 't answer your cell phone while you 're in line. My husband points out that she had spent over 5 minutes chatting and that he had patiently waited and that he had only had to answer the phone to ask the caller to wait just long enough to order two coffees and two croissants. Gloria continued to call my husband rude (an elderly man and extremely polite towards every living being) and all this in the presence of about 20 people, some of whom had also patiently waited and expressed the same with their eyes. our amazement. We left the pastry shop without consuming, we felt a terrible and completely unmotivated feeling. We just wanted to have breakfast. Gloria, whoever you are, owner, collaborator, bartender or whatever, know that every customer contributes to the success of the workplace which I imagine is the resource of many families, don 't put those who work behind the scenes with passion in a bad light, she ruins them most of all. Don 't think that it 's just one customer , it 's the sum of customers that makes a business thrive. After about an hour I wanted to go back alone, it seemed right to talk to a manager, I wanted to let Gloria know that my husband is a good person and that she shouldn 't have treated him badly. I came across another discussion that she was having, again, with a lady in line at the checkout who asked her a question, and she rudely pointed out that she was finishing serving a customer. Luckily we spent the rest of the day well and other traders gave us confirmation that there are also people like us: good people."

This pastry shop is simply fantastic! Excellent products both to consume at the counter and to take home. Fair prices! Far from the Illy bar in the gardens....where whoever serves you at the counter doesn't even know the difference between the coffees they sell.!!...and last but not least, very expensive. Appena arrivate a Venezia abbiamo fatto una sosta in questa pasticceria per far colazione e ci siamo trovati veramente bene, buonissime le brioches e i dolci e anche i caffè. Non ci sono posti a sedere ma si può consumare benissimo al bancone o sui tavoli adibiti alla consumazione. In più possibilità di acquistare prodotti di loro produzione. Consigliato Service: Dine in

What a delightful a place. We got a couple quiches, some spritzes, and a croissant. Everything was perfect. For a relatively expensive part of Italy, their Aperol and Campari spritzes are a great deal at just €3.50. And the quiches? Oh my. Give the tuna a try. Completely unexpectedly great. It was nice eating and drinking at the outside bar top while people watching. Definitely recommend!
