"We had a fantastic time dining at this restaurant! The food exceeded our expectations! We had the Parma ham wrapped Fig with goats cheese and walnut salad and tuna steak and pork loin mains finished with a delicious dark chocolate tart. The staff were attentive and great at wine pairing the dessert wine was lovely. After we had left a bag behind, this was kindly caught us walking back and returned it to us : Service: Dine in"

"There was live music which was good ,we were far enough away for it not to impede our conversation. Food was good and good value, we felt the service was a little slow, but waitresses were very pleasant."

"Staying locally at Holmsley Campsite and decided to try The Three Tuns for Sunday Lunch. Booked online which was easy and guaranteed us a table. Lovely quaint thatched cottage/pub. Nice decor, very clean, with lovely atmosphere! Staff, excellent, happy, attentive! Sunday lunch we both opted for roast pork, comes with an apple/mustard gravy, pork stuffing, cracking, roast and mashed potatoes. Roasts were a little hard around the edges (maybe kept warm too long post cooking). Was disappointed when a very small dish of accompanying veg arrived I asked is this for one? Was told no it’s for two! Cauli cheese, braised red cabbage, carrots and mange tout. Lovely! Then got vegetable envy when table next to us had their veg arrive and realised we had be denied an adult portion! Did have a laugh with the lovely waitress who did apologise and offer us more veg but we had already cleared our plates! Can fully recommend both puddings we enjoyed the ice cream is BEAUTIFUL, locally produced in the New Forest! I enjoyed a lovely syrup sponge with home made custard. Was delicious! Would we return yes please!"

"we visited the opposite and we decided that the reviews and menu for the carpenter’s arms meant that it was worth visiting. we came to a warm welcome and despite the fact that they were a very busy restaurant inc. a big party in her functional room, the staff was very polite and attentive. we had to wait a bit until our food arrives, but that was hardly surprising given the crowds there. but it was good to wait! the quality of eating was excellent and was very tasty. highly recommended and will visit again if in the opposite!"

"Lovely, quaint and quirky cafe in the middle of the high street!! Went in to Poppins and chose it over the two cafes we passed because of the booth seating (which was very comfortable! Ordered two BLT baguettes and a couple of drinks, reasonably priced and very tasty!! Service was great, staff were very attentive! Will definitely come in again when we are down this way next as we are only on holiday for the weekend. Meal type: Lunch"
