Otterington Shorthorn Inn

They took care of our party of eight with no issues. We've dined here twice and plan to return again soon. The restaurant is dog-friendly and the staff is friendly.

Really nice pub, and the food was great. Excellent service, all the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Ideally situated a very short drive or reasonable walk from the local campsite. Thank you!!

The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the drinks were top-notch. The Airbnb connected to the pub was also lovely. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this fantastic local pub.

Wow, what a fantastic gem of a restaurant! We were just passing by and decided to stop in for some drinks and a meal. The homemade pizza was delicious and everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The prices were reasonable and the ice cream options were out of this world. In addition, the ambience of the pub was beautiful.

During our recent stay in the area, we frequented The Shorthorn Inn almost every evening this week. The atmosphere is welcoming with friendly locals and the food served from Wednesday to Sunday was delicious, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. This local pub has a fantastic atmosphere and the manager and staff are very friendly. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and the pizzas are a must-try. The pub also has a three-bedroom self-accommodation unit next door, which we stayed in during Easter. It was excellent value for a family of four (including an 11-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy) compared to other nearby options. The place was impeccably clean. I would highly recommend it.

We are staying at The Hideaway in South Otterington for a week. It is a beautiful well thought out property. All the little extras make it home from home. It is a pleasure to be here thank you Mark, Angela and Stanley. We decided to pop into The Otterington Shorthorn village pub and what a welcome we had, such friendly staff who found us a table (as we hadn't booked one) we decided to have a meal with our drinks. Absolutely fabulous, steak cooked to perfection, generous portion sizes and enjoyed immensely

We were on holiday in this village, we had booked a table for the Friday night on the date we arrived 27 th October, the place was buzzing very busy. The staff were all very friendly and we were served quickly with our food, the food was delicious, hot and a lot of it well worth the money. We enjoyed it so much we booked again for the following Thursday, the pub was quieter and again the food was delicious. If we are in this area again on holiday we will definitely go back there.
