"A charming, authentic establishment with excellent pasta! If you want to experience real Venice, this is the place to go! Friendly service, unbelievably delicious pasta, and a pleasant atmosphere. I visited twice during my stay because I loved it so much. My favorite is the pasta with zucchini and shrimp, but the pasta with mussels is also delicious. The ravioli with cheese could use a little something extra, but it's still good. By the way, the scallops were too rubbery."

An excellent traditional trattoria right on the Calle dei Fabbri main route between San Marco and Rialto. No booking, short queue likely at peak lunchtime in the week. Worth the wait. Widely used by gondoliers and local shopkeepers alike, plus a few tourists. Good menu, good food, great atmosphere value. About €60 for two for two courses with wine. Try the excellent ricotta cake!
