Mainly go here when bands are on, always a good atmosphere, staff friendly. Food is good, steaks are really good, and my mates rave about the connemara chicken. if your lucky to get one of the food tables on a band night its pretty much perfect!

Have been going here for years, always good, a really good varied menu. a few things i would recommend are, the hot wings, they are so good!! The Connemara chicken is also really nice, Husband loves the T bone steak we often go for the roast on a Sunday, which is probably one of the best in town.

Went here with some friends who live locally for Sunday lunch, Arrived just after 1pm, it was fairly quiet, friendly waitress sat us down, our order was taken promptly, all of us getting the roasts, it arrived quickly i had the beef which was excellent, plenty of fresh vegetables, homemade yorkshire pud! my friends had the lamb salmon, would highly recommend. Visited with my son for a meal and to watch the Champions League as they have multiple TV's and a big screen. Wasn't disappointing at all! The pub is very cosy and with warm locals. Staff very friendly and the food was excellent. We both had a burger and was deliciously cooked at the grill with lots of flavour. Really enjoyed it. Atmosphere was nice and friendly, so will definitely be back again when in town. Great experience.

I must disclose that this is my local spot, and has been for the past five years, so this review may be biased. However, I keep coming back for a reason - this traditional Irish pub never disappoints! It is family-run, welcoming to all, and offers a fantastic array of drinks, delicious and honest food at reasonable prices, along with live music and sports events. I consider myself fortunate to have such a wonderful pub right at my doorstep!

Come to this pub mainly for the amazing Sunday roast, but was passing through mid week so called in for dinner, it was fairly busy, large group in the raised dining area, so got a table down by the stage, Got a pint of neckoil which is a great beer. Service was good my order was taken quickly, although i was told food might be a little longer than usual because of large group, i ordered the T bone steak, i have to say it was so good, cooked medium rare, lovely feel about the place. Popped in on Sunday 14th April , didn't book and was surprised to see every table full, good mix of families and people watching the football, i asked about getting a table and was told about 30 min wait, watching the football so fine. 20 mins later table was ready, ordered the homemade soup, and my wife got a prawn salad both came with homemade irish bread, mains i had the Rump steak and it was perfect, my wife got the roast lamb and really enjoyed, a lovely afternoon, liverpool won!

Good old fashioned service. Nice staff and nothing to much trouble. The food was great, home cooked and decent size portions. Everything we ordered was good. We have been looking for a place like this to eat for a long time and we will be back as regulars without a shadow of a doubt. In fact I will be returning tonight!!Credit to the staff who are clearly all well trained, polite organised and helpful. Great all round visit. If I could add one very minor constructive criticism/suggestion it is ditch the sauce sachets and replace with bottles. The sachets drive me insane. Wayne

Me and my wife and kids had a table booked today and when we arrived our booking was cancelled because my are from a travelling background. The landlord blatantly said he would wouldn’t serve us because he had trouble last weekend. We asked if he thought we where involved to which he just looked at the floor. I asked him if he was proud of himself he again looked at the floor.Today would have been my third visit here although it’s the first time I’ve bumped into the landlord..Hang your head in shame.. 2019 acting like it’s in 1940’s America!!!
