"We arrived around 8 PM, and the place was very busy with diners and drinkers. Since we hadn’t made a reservation, we were informed there would be about a one-hour wait. This gave us the chance to enjoy a few drinks and have some conversation before our meal. Despite the wait, the chef kept track of our table, and we were seated promptly when it was ready. The menu features a mix of dishes. I ordered the pâté, while my friend had the tandoori chicken in a naan. My father enjoyed his meal, and the naan looked appetizing. For our mains, we chose the meat and potato pie served with mushy peas, and I had the roast pork with crackling and the usual vegetables. The pork was excellent, nicely cooked, and served with crispy crackling. One appealing aspect of the menu is that they offer half-portions of most main courses, which I found helpful since my wife typically prefers smaller portions. This allows her more options without feeling overwhelmed. The staff, although young, were efficient and knowledgeable. We didn’t feel rushed, and service was prompt. Overall, we had a lovely evening in this bustling restaurant. If you’re planning to dine at a specific time, I recommend making a reservation, as it tends to be busy on different days."

Called in on the off-chance of there being a table available. Lovely lunch, cooked to perfection, nicely presented by very friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely worth a return visit.

I called in here when we were passing. I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and the staff. When the food came I wasn't expecting it to look and taste as good as it did. Will be going again soon thanks

During our vacation in Yorkshire, we stopped by The New Inn for lunch. We ordered a pint of Timothy Taylor's beer, which was fantastic, and the lasagna was excellent as well. As expected in Yorkshire, the service was wonderful. Voir le carte

We have been to The New Inn as a spontaneous visit on our way home this afternoon and even though it was very busy, the owner, Ian welcomed us warmly and happily even though we had not booked. We were sat outside with stunning views and were served with drinks and menu's very quickly. The waiting staff were super efficient and very friendly. Drinks came quickly and the first course of food came not very long after. Gorgeous, hot, tasty proper Sunday dinner. The mash was divine, the home made yorkies and roasts were simply delicious and it was all topped off with lovely homemade gravy. The whole meal was scrumptious. My husband even managed to fit the Jam Roly Poly in too and he said that was...

"Really nice pub would return if i lived in the area. Visited for a beer and some food with wife and infant daughter, large carpark, is located at the top of the hill, staff and the locals were very welcoming. Nice selection of ales lagers and spirits. Restaurant section looked to be closed, but the lounge was bright and modern finish. Pub menu was served as per the website but they had a nice choice of specials. Had the special starter peri peri chicken samosa with pickled molis, perfect balance of curried samosa, sharp pickled mooli and spicey peri, came with an interesting almost experimental bread and charcoal garlic butter, mmm yummy main was a wholesome hearty gaint yorkshire brimmed with onion gravey and sausages dressed with a herby oil and fries on the side, was perfectly portioned for a big fella like me, may be too much for some, but a brilliant meal. Finished off with a white chocolate raspberry blondie, with a tart raspberry coolis and custard. Wife had the burger was thick and tasty, nicely seasoned. Daughter had a big portion of fish fingers and chips. Table services was efficient and friendly. Locals were nice to talk to aswell. We all left happy and full, would recommend. Parking: Big lot next to the pub would fit about 12 designated drivers Kid-friendliness: Had kids chair available, changing facilities in the disabled, large selection on the kids menu. Friendly staff, welcomed kids as well as adult. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot"
