"Today I was introduced to this wonderful gem of a cafe, close to the centre of Blandford. The I only came in for a cup of tea and 3 cups of coffee, with me a two other gents. The gentleman behind the counter with a mostash was wonderful kind and polite. The service was simply outstanding. He was funny, polite and attentive. This is not the service you would expect in national coffee chains, but from a five star hotel. I purchased some fabulous bars of Love Cocoa with the words Thank You. I hear this place does great food. Try this place if you in Blandford, a real gem."

"Writing for my parents . A dreadful experience with a group of friends. The food was pre ordered. My father didn’t get his meal, as ordered, he had to eat what he was given, as that was what was left. Others had cold veg, over cooked , inedible duck .. another gent didn’t get his meal so he had to wait 10 minutes whilst they cooked for him. All this could have been easy remedied with a member of staff apologising and caring about the whole situation. Customer service costs nothing. The general consensus between this large group of friends is that they won’t return."

"We had a wonderful New Year's Eve celebration here with a large group of friends! The meal was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic, enhanced by live music. Ali, Chris, and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and worked hard to ensure everyone had a great time. This is our favorite pub—great beer, an excellent selection of gins, and a lovely log fire! After a long walk, we returned on New Year's Day. They are always happy to accommodate dogs and even have special treats for them! The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. Thank you, Ali, Chris, and the team! This is definitely the best pub in Dorset!"

"Lovely little cafe their baker, Rhe, is fabulous! Her as a person as well as her stunning cakes. It was pure luck that I stumbled across her business page (shared by the cafe so after being let down by two other bakers, Rhe literally came to my rescue! She is an absolute magician with the deadline she had to create my daughter's first birthday cake (especially with it being so close to Christmas! . She is an extremely professional, kind and talented individual. The cake was absolutely exquisite (she nailed the brief! it immediately brought me to tears when I collected it. After getting it safely home and having a closer look the attention to detail was impeccable and it was evidently made with so much love and passion. It was a HUGE hit with my family who have already started spreading the word about her business as well as wanting to use her for other, upcoming occasions. I cannot recommend Rhe enough for anyone seeking not just a cake, but a work of delicious, edible art. She as a person radiates warmth and will do everything in her power to create the perfect cake for you. Thank you, Rhe, for making my daughter's first birthday unforgettable you are an exceptional baker and I will be returning! Xx"

"Good Friday turned into a really bad one. We had not been to Beatons for 3 months because we said we would never go back, but they say time heals. The order for my wife and I was, Scrambled Egg on Toast, Crispy Bacon and Egg Sandwich (Poached), and 2 One Shot Lattes. The young waitress was very pleasant. Unfortunately she then went on to serve 2 customers that arrived after us which ment we didn 't get our drinks till after our cooked breakfast arrived. My wife had a third coffee and two thirds foam. Really bad result. The food came and my wifes egg on toast was one slice of toast, a bit mean. When I opened my sandwich the bacon was nearly raw, the fat around the outside was still transparent, this is supposed to be crispy as said on the Menu. I really couldn 't eat this, I asked the young waitress to have it cooked more so it went back to the kitchen. 10 mins later it returned with the same egg which was now 15mins old and cold, and the same bread. I would have thought a new sandwich would arrive back that would be done correctly, but no. I did eat it but it wasn 't nice. I went to pay (over £20) for the experience, no apology, just a request for the full amount. As she was young I didn 't make a fuss, just said 'you shouldn 't be charging me for the sandwich, it was awful, ' her response was to lift the card machine for the payment in silence. This is what happens when you employ school children to run your Tearoom and kitchen. Absolutely never again, and I live in the village and could have been a regular income. It will be interesting to see if I get a response to this."
