"I was staying in nearby Stockton-on-Tees overnight and was a little worried that I'd struggle for a vegan evening meal. Was really pleasantly surprised to find that Cena has a vegan menu (3 starter options, 3 options for mains, 2 dessert options . I had the Vegetable Antipasto (delicious tapenade! , Sundried Tomato Risotto (very hearty and the Chocolate Sponge (with mandarin sorbet . The great food was complemented by excellent service, and I would happily recommend Cena to any fellow vegans looking for good quality Italian food. Would be 5 stars if it was possible to give 5 stars for a non-vegan/vegetarian restaurant. :"

"start well, website had labeled vegan options, but the website menu was different than sitting in the menu. the sitting in the menu was not even with those dishes were vegan and also not the dessert board, so we had to ask each time. for a vegetarian place I would have thought that they would all be above the vegan aspekt of nutritional requirements, but this place was not and it was not as if the menus were not able to be changed, it was just paper. in my opinion, eating was lacking in taste, very high end prices and smaller portions than we expected. the pink grapefruit hummus was homemade hummus with two small pieces brot and a slitter of pink grapefruit although they offer us butter, but we had to ask if they were a vegan version. the hummus needed more salt and lemon and the green pate we needed more taste. in general, to say we were disappointed was an understatement, the vegan variety of enchiladas was a bad attempt to regain the court. Although it had a little more taste than the starter, it came with grated carrot and hummus, two packs roasted with the Puy-Lentil middle. there was no check-in to see how the meal also came from the personal. £70 for a meal for 2 with drinks and disregard with the entire experience was not expected after some reviews and their trips at all. because of all the above mentioned I would not recommend visiting here. all they need to do is eat better and love more detail for vegan substitutions such as a vegan cashew cheese and vegan cream along with improving their passion for taste and this place could be a real hit that drinks were excellent and the cocktails went a tasty and the atmosphere was also great."

"Family meal out, there were easily over 20 of us and we pre ordered the food which was great! So easy to know people had already decided and we could just tell the staff when we were ready for food. All started off great, food came out around 20/25 minutes after we had ask which we all thought was really quick considering there were over 20 of us, which was great! However , when eating we felt like the member of staff was watching over us and as soon as 1 person had took their last mouthful the staff member removed the plate. Our poor nanna who had travelled from Thirsk for this meal was still chewing her last bite before her plate was taken away, which we all felt was too rushed. Empty glasses were being taken away whilst we were eating which is fair enough but when the glasses are been taken from across the table whilst you’re trying to enjoy your meal was disrespectful I thought. Once everyone had finished there it meal we were opting to stay for some more drinks and all have a catch up however we felt that rushed to get out of the place we just left and went elsewhere. Glasses were being taken that weren’t even finished. Just a quick tip for staff in future, do not try and rush customers!! Other than that we enjoyed the food and the place was clean, there was also a little park for the kids which was great!"

"I came here with friends on Saturday around 11.20pm where we were refused entry by the door staff, I asked why and was told they were closed. I find this quite strange as it states on your website you close at 12. Very disappointed we were not the only people being turned away."

"Excellent find. I’ve wanted to try here for sometime, so on an impromptu walk around Yarm, we decided to go for some lunch. It’s a lovely stroll up to a quant area with views over Yarm. Ice cold Guinness was spot on and the food was excellent. My partner had a special Mediterranean chicken, and I had the beef pie. Very cautious when getting pies due to the disappointment when it’s loaded with fatty meat or mushrooms. This pie was exactly what you cross your fingers for. Perfectly cooked big chunks of beef in a rich ale gravy. Fantastic. And the landlord was brilliant. Really glad we went. I will definitely return recommend, I hope they don’t leave (but that’s just me being selfish)"
