"Absolutely terrible experience! We decided to go to millies for my mums birthday a table of 10 was booked when we arrived we was shown to our table that was in the corner with another table right bang next to us so couldn't even sit down one side of the table without being squashed! we asked to change our table and we ended up having to move tables around to be able to sit better! We had eventually settled down and had all decided what we was going to order to then be told that 7/10 of our meals that we had decided to order was not available! So we then all had to decide again we ended up getting the seafood platter for 1 each and I am absolutely disgusted in the presentation and the food you got served with it it was absolutely vile we had to wait over an hour for our food the whole experience was terrible! The waiter we had was very apologetic and very helpful this was the only positive out come of this visit definitely will not be returning after this experience also leaving the place absolutely STINKING of fried food is another bad thing about this place"

Waited 30 minutes for a simple order. Tasteless to say the least. However , the staff , except the chef , were amazing.

We had skate wing, I must say it was the best skate wing I have had for a longtime, and the staff were very professional. Will definitely be going back

What a super breakfast served by friendly staff especially Josie who provided useful information. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and as we are local will come here on a regular basis, looking forward to the summer. Thank you Josie and team.

My family enjoyed a delicious roast dinner at this restaurant a few Sundays ago. The food was great with generous portions. The waiter went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. We will definitely be returning for another meal, possibly trying the tapas next time.

I don't like to write bad reviews but I am hoping this helps the business. We visited yesterday and had the worst meal I have had out that I can remember. I had jacket potato which was hard in the middle and the salad that came with it was covered in oil (which I think was cooking oil as nothing like olive oil) my stomach still feels queasy, it was really awful. My daughter had the chicken and bacon salad same again salad covered in some horrid oil and the chicken was very dry. However the staff are very friendly and do their best to please. You need to look at this.

Absolutely fantastic evening had with friends at Millie’s last week. We were greeted at the door by friendly staff and were provided a table by the window that had great sea views. My friends had haddock and skate off what we were told was a new menu. They said the fish was beautiful and extremely fresh. I went for the steak which was also very good. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the night and wr actually hung around after for a couple more bottles of wine which were very reasonably priced. Thank you for a great nights guys and will definitely be seeing you again soon.

I had lunch here today 9/2/24. I had fish and Chips £15. Well the cod was only a little larger than a goujon, I had a grand total of 26 yes I counted them chips and a pot of cold mushy peas.i asked for garden peas. On a positive note the home made tartar sauce was super. I would have spoken with my waitress at the time about this but she appeared totally in interested in taking my order initially, and never returned to see how our meals were. Yes the view is lovely, but that’s where it ends,if this is the food served and the service offered, I’m afraid I would not recommend this establishment to anyone

We walked along the coast from Margate and were originally planning to go to another restaurant, but the windy weather led us to stop for a drink at Millie's. After discovering our original choice had closed early, we decided to try out Millie's menu. The service was extremely helpful, with the staff offering my wife a wine sample before opening a new bottle for her. I enjoyed two different Gadds beers. We ordered squid for starters and grilled fish for mains, with my wife opting for a salad and me for delicious chips. The prices were reasonable at £12 for my wife and £15 for double fish for me. The food was cooked fresh and we didn't have to wait long. We highly recommend this place.

The white bait and salt and pepper squid starters were some of the best we have ever tasted, served quickly. However, our main dishes did not live up to our expectations. We ordered haddock, monkfish burger, and beef burger but were informed that they had just run out of haddock, so we had to settle for cod instead. The wait time for our meal was over half an hour. The beef burger was good, but the monkfish burger was not as expected - it was not in batter as described. The cod lacked flavor. The staff were polite, but there was no follow-up about dessert. The toilets were clean, and the view was perfect. The restaurant was apologetic and discounted the cod dish from the bill. We would consi...

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
