Mestizo Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar

Fine, but not blown away. Food is more cantina-style than the price and decor would suggest. Great tortilla chips though.

The place is super nice and the atmosphere is proper Mexican. The food was very delicious, what I liked the most were the corn torrijas for the tacos, you could tell they were homemade and were delicious! The empanadas were amazing too!

Absolutely fantastic and authentic Mexican food. Got a plate of tacos and, as an American in London, was pleasantly surprised that they were legit. It's a bit spendy for what you get, but when you're craving authentic Mexican food it's worth it. Voir le carte

wonderful restaurant. ordered tacos, nachos and chicken which were all absolutely delicious. we ordered a variety or margaritas which were all scrumptious. the service was smooth with everything coming out fast. everyone was super friendly and inviting. they even gave us some incredible margarita shots on the house!!! this wasn’t the first time we’ve dined here and it sure won’t be the last!

The food was mediocre: small portions, the meat was tasteless and the drinks were half margarita half ice. The atmosphere hideous with very loud bad mix techno with Mexican house music. We reserved a table a week in advance and the table that we got was next to the toilet, the chairs were uncomfortable. The aircon was freezing. The server was sweet and accommodating. Regardless please don’t go there.

My friend had booked dinner for two. I arrived early and as soon as I sat down I felt rushed and agree with other reviews that the staff are very abrupt. They kept taking dishes away which we hadn’t finished whilst we were still eating presumably to get the table back as soon as possible. For me, the food was not worth what we paid. It was ok but overpriced. The £9 guacamole was the tastiest thing… In short not a pleasant dining experience. Voir le carte

Loved being able to try some dishes that can be hard to find in London. Unfortunately the food very bland. The chicken in the tamales was lukewarm and bone dry. The tacos were unpleasantly flavoured and served with no sauce, chilli, tomato, salsa, onion no accompaniment whatsoever. The drinks were good and everyone who worked there was nice. It was a great menu, and I really wanted to like it but the food was a huge disappointment. The best dish was just inoffensive while the worst was inedible.

Terrible experience had such high hopes going in, so many recommendations, and was so far from the hype. Was recommended the volcano bowl, sounded good on paper the reality was the most overpriced cauliflower cheese I've ever eaten. The bowl (really not two person sized) contained: broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, new potatoes, and cheese. Bang on classic cauliflower cheese, except it cost £32. The tamales for starters were completely bland and largely consisted of dough, they were made up for by the banging dips. This was then followed up with food poisoning the next day (I really wish I was making this up). Disastrous, overpriced

0 stars. This was our favourite Mexican restaurant but we ordered food from here and experienced the worst food poisoning we’ve ever had to the point a paramedic had to visit the house. We tried to email to handle this privately but they took no accountability, they only denied that their food was the cause and told us it was wrong to accuse them and they have done an investigation to conclude they couldn’t have given us food poisoning. How can you know this? You don’t have the food we ate to test this if it was contaminated? This was the only food me and my partner shared and half an hour after eating it we felt a bit weird but didn’t think much of it until we woke up throughout the night w... Voir le carte
