Mehmoods Curry House

Had a beautifully cooked meal last night! All curries execellent, chicken , lamb and several vegetarian curries.

Five of us had a takeaway last week for my husbands birthday. Yummy food, really friendly delivery, what more can you ask for!

Mehmood's consistently impresses with its delicious and non-greasy dishes. The curries are some of the best we've ever had. The service is always quick and friendly. Highly recommended.

We are staying in Newtonmore on holiday and had a terrific takeaway from Mehmood curry house. The set meal no2 was superb, as was the butter chicken. All freshly cooked, hot and tasty. Delivered by a friendly and polite driver. Best takeaway we have had in ages.

I have never had Indian food that was so bland and watery. I ordered the butter king prawn and the sauce was thin and tasted like coconut milk and onion. There was no substance to the dish and it was very unsatisfying. Definitely not what I was hoping for after a long walk in the Cairngorms. Voir le carte

Like previous reviews, we are usually wary when ordering takeaways from new places. However we gave it a shot and ordered 3 different curry’s with sides between us and WOW! Piping hot, fresh curry that was absolutely delicious. Really nice enjoyable meal, with so many choices. Recommend to any one staying nearby! Would definetly return in future!

We have never thought about ordering from here before as 2 of us have ceoliac disease and require strict gluten free meals. When I called to ask all the relevant questions there was no hesitation in the answering. We ordered and received our delivery within 40 minutes. We had a lovely family meal. There is only one issue.......now we know we can eat here I think we may become regulars......thank you mehmoods, see you soon...probably next weekend

There is not much competition for Indian food in the local area, which is apparent in the lack of effort put into the cooking at this takeaway. My wife ordered a prawn curry that was bland and watery. I ordered a Dansak, expecting a sweet and sour dish with medium spice. However, what I received was a sweet tomato sauce with very mild heat, containing a few lentils thrown in to pass it off as a Dansak. We cannot believe we spent over £30 on such a disappointing meal.
