"Pete, oh Pete. You’re a legend. Pete is the customer services representative in this McDonalds. We were served with a rather cold quarter pounder with cheese, in fact Not being one to complain myself, Mat being northern felt the need to complain. Just as...we were trying to figure out how to return our burgers, Pete, yes the legend Pete, asked us if our meal was okay. This was a strange situation as I’ve never seen such a proactive McDonald’s worker who cared about the customer satisfaction, mat then took the opportunity to voice his concerns to which Pete, the legend, swiftly apologised and replaced our food. He was then helping other customers with orders and checking their food was of a great standard before returning to ask how our meal was. He also took time to take away our rubbish. Pete, don’t stop being the diamond that you are! McDonalds give that man a raise!!"

Visited on trip from Folkstone to Newcastle for a quick bite. The place was busy and despite having to wait a while the food when it came was hot and was the usual McDonald fare. Certainly no complaints.

Day of a play off final in London so at services were busy. Staff must have been on case because breakfast order wasn't tardy. Usual Micky D's breakfast fare consistent in quality fills a gap and a yearning. Love the hash browns....No reason why not...

We used this outlet a couple of times while staying at the nearby hotel, the food was as expected but disappointed that I couldn’t have a sausage and bacon McMuffin as they had no sausage, no excuse from the staff who were distinctly non plus,...a smile goes a long way !

They had three screens to order from, but only one was working. So we had to join the queue at the counter. Fast service and helpful staff but it could have been easier to order. The noise inside this service centre was so loud that...we chose to eat outside even in the heat.

When visiting this McDonald’s when I was waiting for food a worker was cleaning the top of the fry unit. Spraying the top leaning over wiping so any loose parts able to drop in the boxes of fry’s. Very bad way to be cleaned and...I did nt have any fry’s with my order just think this sort of things would be done all around the restaurant .

Not only did they get the order wrong, it took them minutes to get the order wrong (hardly fast food) and then when they did bring the right order, they didn't bother to ask if I wanted milk in tea which had clearly been...standing there for at least minutes. Apologies? Of course not I simply got told, and annoyingly every single time they gave me something, enjoy

"We 're looking forward to trying the Pheasant again on a normal day. We went on Boxing Day and it was pretty disastrous. Meant to be a treat but it certainly wasn 't. Starters were nice, no cooking involved apart from the pesto. Then the mains. The beef was grey, not pink as I was told it would be but it was tender. The roast potatoes tasted a bit old but there were plenty. The Chantenay carrots were very soft. The Savoy cabbage was perfect but the portion was tiny. The gravy was nice but we got a different variety when we asked for more. The Yorkshire pudding was the main disaster; it seemed old, and very hard to the point of shattering. Desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was fine although the serving of sauce was very mean. The clotted cream with it is, in my opinion, the best way to serve this pudding, it 's a relief from all the sweetness. The apple crumble was terrible; it came in a bowl with the custard already in it with the pudding. The apple was sour and the crumble was squidgy stodge. The service was fine although some staff not yet fully professional. We would have expected a welcoming hello and goodbye but that didn 't happen. Our overall feeling was that there was serious penny pinching going on with the mains and desserts but this is a very bad idea when you are judged on your last meal but we do intend to try again because it 's such a wonderful building and we 've had many good experiences in The Pheasant, perhaps before the present owners, we 're not really sure."
