"The atmosphere is wonderful, a beautiful tile floor and wine bottles decorating the walls. Marta was our server, and was running the front all by herself, with her husband in the kitchen cooking. I would say that by Italian standards the service was a normal pace. She speaks enough English to get the job done, but was extremely patient when practicing our Italian with her. The food was incredible; the caprese was fresh and light, the gnocchi melted in your mouth, tagliatelle was rich and flavorful but delicate. The baccalà was firm flaky and delightful, the pigeon was also very rich and flavorful and I would 100% recommend trying! For dessert the chocolate cake with homemade gelato, and cantuccini. Again both were excellent and well presented. In fact, the presentation on all dishes was fantastic. We love Martarè and will recommend to anyone looking for an authentic meal in Firenze"

we had the best food in our week in flourorence. it was not crowded or loud and we had no problems booking a reservation. would definitely recommend anyone who travels here. the risotto I had was from this world delicious!

all homemade, from the cultivation of their vegetables and wings. great service. fantastic presentation. marta makes a fantastic job so they feel like home. so close to the dome, that is likely that only a gem left that is not touristic.

Can’t recommend this place enough, it wasn’t overly busy but don’t let that put you off. It is away from the tourist traps but still close enough to walk too. Greeted by the owner, her and her husband cook and run front of house. Food was some of the best we’ve had in Florence. Must go!

It was a great evening. We ordered the menu degustazione and it was an excellent choice. We probably had eight different dishes from appetizers to dessert, plus 4 types of wine and everything was excellent, fresh and perfectly presented. In addition, a very nice and friendly lady serves us. What do you want? The place, food and service first class

we made the tasting menu and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. the service was warm and timely, eating was delicious. our service has made a good job pairing weine with our cures. the atmosphere was covered and the restaurant was not crowded at all. we met the owner and she was very gracious. when they come to florence, they have to stay here.

the best restaurant in florenz! not only eating is the best, but it is not overrun by tourist! it is a real hidden gem. every classic Tuscan article will surprise them; everyone is prepared so carefully, beautiful and kreatiw. the service is personal and warm. the environment is well maintained. I strongly recommend the tortelli (here pictured) and the potato meat balls. I just can't recommend it enough. absolutely delicious.
