"we visited here in juni. that was a wonderful experience. great food and excellent service. this time the service was so disgusting that we asked ourselves if they don't like women's groups. we were a party of four. we had to ask three times before we got water. eating was described incorrectly when it was served. we had to stand up and go to the waiting staff before we could throw their attention to our empty glasses and bottle. we were not asked if we wanted something else. they seemed to get rid of us, although it was calm. the bill was dismissed on the table without comment. how different from our last visit when everyone was so polite. such a shame, but we will not be back."

I will definitely be returning to this restaurant, especially if they offer a vegan menu or become completely vegan! The staff were incredibly accommodating and willing to help modify any menu items to suit our vegan preferences.

I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. It was very fresh and tasty. They have a nice variety of vegetarian dishes, most of which are also vegan friendly. One suggestion for improvement would be to clearly label which dishes are vegan. The staff was friendly, although the waiter did inquire about our protein intake.

We had a fantastic Christmas Day evening meal here in friendly and welcoming surroundings. The food was tremendous and staff were fully knowledgeable about all vegan options. I went for a couple of sides (Bombay potato and tarka dhal) with rice which were both excellent. The pickles and popadoms to start were fabulous too. Had a couple of really enjoyable meals here in what is undoubtedly the best Indian in Berwick. Not that there’s much competition. The staff are attentive and make sure you are well looked after. When I asked for a hot vegetable madras they certainly made sure it was hot. Just as well I can handle it where others would concede defeat. They will make pretty much anything you ask for even if it’s not listed on the menu such as a mushroom dhansak. The interior is quite impressive and they have Cobra on draft.

This was my first takeaway curry since becoming vegan so I wasn't too sure what would have ghee or not, but the staff member who took my order knew the menu really weel and took his time explaining the options and recommending alternatives to my past favourites when I was vegetarian. When the takeaway arrived, everything was clearly labeled with the vegan food having this highlighted as well. The food itself was absolutely fantastic. The mixed vegetable chaat was so full of flavour and the vegetables were very fresh. We wouldn't hesitate to order from there again. Updated from previous review on 2021-07-10
