the menu is not big, but the quality, quantity and value are excellent. eating was received with a warning! very hot. service was excellent. will be back.

Took my 3year old nephew for lunch. We had baguettes which were quite hard and he had a pizza.pizza was soggy underneath so we sent it back.cooked another 1 which wasn't much better. Voir le carte

Looks are receiving. This little place served a very passable Sunday lunch. They were almost out of lamb but offered me half lamb and half beef. Both were lovely. The cheese sauce was not great but everything else was tasty. Staff were lovely. Thank you.

Dropped in by chance as never visited and was delighted by the quality of the food. Rib eye steak was of great quality and cooked perfectly. Possibly the nicest stilton sauce I've had for a while. The pub was spotlessly clean and the couple who...run it were really nice people who clearly work hard and run a good pub. I will be using it more often . Good , reasonably priced unfussy food.

really slow service today 2 hours to get a starter and meal. when it came, I didn't want it and tasted awfully the hut cake was 70% cheese up I didn't want my 85 year old mother who had. were for the first time in 6 months so polite left after she had finished her meal I shaved no more go staff never even asked if everything was ok or wanted we had more drinks no phone numbers were taken if we had to be contacted because of covid poor. Booked a table for a work Christmas Lunch. Nothing was too much trouble for Management Michelle Mark they even adjusted the menu slightly as member person doesn't eat roast dinners. Our meal was fantastic, great value for money we were very well...looked after. Just the right portions, nice hot space in between (without being too long a break} to ensure that we weren't over full. A big thank you congratulations to you for such a superb job certainly highly recommended for next Christmas.

we visited the luck penny on Thursday night last week. the lounge was welcoming and beautifully decorated for christmas. we went pretty early at 6 o'clock, there were many people in the bar, but no one in the lounge that was a candy when...we were really impressed by the eating we were served. my partner had the lamb liver on scavenging he said was really good, and my sister and I had hunch with stylton sauce that was delicious. the vege, which came with the dressed, was cooked exactly right and the chicken dishes came with chips. eating was really good value for money.

If your trying to find a nice pub, where they do Sunday dinner and they do proper food not microwave ping food, the Luck Penny is the place to go. The pub has such a nice relaxing atmosphere to just sit and have a drink...in and when the food is delivered to your table it looks so delicious and it tastes as good as it looks. We had the Sunday roast with so many different vegetables and the beef and pork was cooked to perfection excellent food and efficient service would recommend this place to anyone trying to find a homecooked meal with all the trimmings and friendly service.
