Best Sunday roast I've had in ages, big portion and extra Yorke and all for under £7 pound. Will be back next Sunday.

My 80th Party held here every thing was very good, the room very pleasant, very good atmosphere and lovely buffet. Staff very friendly and obliging

The menu is not vast but the quality, quantity and value are excellent. Food was received with a warning! Very hot, it was! Service was excellent. Will be back.

I was served the best Sirloin Steak R/M I've had in a long time. My wife had the Rump R/m which was equally good. Looking at the menu, there is a a very good alternative range of choice, dependant on your pallet.

I cannot fault the service/hospitality and definatly the food...The Luck Penny provided a buffet for up to 50 people today and it was delicious...I would definatly recommend this pub to anyone..will be back to taste the food off the menu... Voir le carte

Ollie/Oliver is an absolute legend! The customer service here is exceptional and really made our night. I love going to pubs where they make you feel welcome. Ollie went above and beyond for both my family and a larger group. I can't express enough how impressed we were with Oliver. We've received a lot of positive feedback about him, and he definitely deserves a bonus after tonight. I have never experienced such amazing customer service before. Well done Ollie, from Liam who kept asking for pink milkshakes all night! You're a legend.

We visited the Luck Penny on Thursday evening last week. The lounge was welcoming and nicely decorated for Christmas. We went quite early, around 6 o'clock, there were a lot of people in the bar but no-one in the lounge which was a shame as we were really impressed by the food we were served. My partner had the lambs liver on mustard mash which he said was really good and my sister and I had chicken with stilton sauce, which was delicious. The veg that came with the dishes was cooked just right and the chicken dishes came with chips. The food was really good value for money.

The service was extremely slow today, taking 2 hours to receive a starter and main meal. By the time the food arrived, I no longer wanted it and found it to taste horrible. The cottage pie was overwhelmingly covered in cheese, which was not to my liking. In order to not upset my 85-year-old mother, who was dining out for the first time in 6 months, I politely left after she finished her meal. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant as the staff never checked on us or offered us more drinks. Additionally, no contact information was collected in case we needed to be contacted due to COVID regulations. Overall, the service was poor. Voir le carte
