During our walk, we stopped at this restaurant for tea and cake. We had a delicious vegan coconut and jam sponge along with tea with soya milk. We plan to visit again before our vacation ends because they also have a tempting Thai carrot and squash soup on the menu, as well as a few sandwich and toasted options.

The restaurant offers delicious food and friendly staff. They added custom smiley faces and funny drawings to our sandwich wrappers for takeout. The location is very convenient for walking routes around St Mary's. I enjoyed an amazing Onion Bhaji sandwich and their coleslaw was outstanding. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and we are so glad we did! It's the perfect place for enjoying coffee and cake. We shared a tasty slice of banana and maple cake and enjoyed oat milk flat whites, which were the best coffee we had on the island. The menu seems to have many more vegan options, and if we were staying longer, we would definitely return. The staff were lovely and the location is beautiful.

The room was excellent, though slightly outside of the town. This was our first experience staying at a hostel like this, and if they are all similar, we may consider trying another one in the future. The hostel was mostly self-service, but the food we had was very good. Our room was a 5 out of 5, service was also a 5 out of 5, and the location was a 3 out of 5. The highlights of the hotel were its quiet atmosphere and its kid-friendly environment.

Longstone is situated a 30-minute walk from Hugh Town, with a small car park available. It is a great spot for families with young children, offering swings, a climbing frame, and a spacious play area. The restaurant has plenty of tables with sun shades for outdoor dining. The menu is similar to other cafes on the island and our order was promptly delivered. Accessibility may be challenging for those with mobility issues.
