"Una stella Michelin meritata. A partire dalla location, immersa nelle famose mura Venete di Bergamo, ormai patrimonio dell'UNESCO, a veramente pochi passi da San Vigilio. Dal giardino del ristorante, infatti, si può godere di una vista mozzafiato. Passando poi all'accoglienza, al servizio, all'arredamento interno molto raffinato e di classe che ti farà volare in un universo parallelo di relax ed esaltazione delle pupille gustative. Arrivati al tavolo veniamo intrattenuti con un buonissimo calice di prosecco, due chips pregiate e un aperitivo composto da alcuni assaggi tipici e locali (vedi foto). Consultando il menu (quello della donna rigorosamente senza prezzi esposti) ci facciamo ingolosire con una battuta di manzo, impiattata e condita in maniera impeccabile e, successivamente, da un risotto alla rapa rossa e crema di gorgonzola e da una guancia di vitello con con verdure, anch'essi neanche a dirlo, strepitosi in gusto e impiattamento. Concludiamo la nostra piacevole e rilassante permanenza con il dessert: crema scottata con mirtilli ghiacciati e ciocco colato con gelato alla nocciola. Prima di abbandonare la location decidiamo di gustare un buon caffè dove dal menu si evince che i chicchi dello stesso sono stati raccolti rigorosamente a mano in India a 1100mt. Passando dalla cassa, possiamo incamminarci a recuperare la macchina che abbiamo parcheggiato gratuitamente e senza stress all'interno del loro parcheggio."

"Locale delizioso, intimo piccolo e curato in ogni dettaglio. Le due signore che accolgono e accompagnano i clienti alla scelta delle pietanze e dei vino sono molto cortesi. Il cibo è qualcosa di veramente squisito! La tartare di pecora e la lingua grigliata come antipasto preparano le papille gustative per i ravioli di Sant'Alessandro, ravioli con ripieno di carne di pecora, e la terrina con stufato di pecora peperoni e yogurt. Entrambi i piatti decisi e delicati allo stesso tempo, buonissimi! Il tutto è stato accompagnato da una bottiglia di Rosso della cantina Ca del Bosco."

"I had lunch here with my wife and 25 guests...Italians, British, Americans, Czecs, Swedish and French. 3 were vegetarians and a two are VERY fussy eaters. Ettore, the owner, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The food was incredible,it had taste and originality, the portions were huge... all of my guests were speachless, and they all had the most wonderful lunch. For days afterwards they kept on raving about their lunch, the two fussy eaters could not stop complimenting the restaurant! The price was extremely honest, I was expecting to pay twice as much! Top marks! P.S. if you like fish you HAVE to visit this reataurant at least once in your lifetime!!"

"The restaurant is located not too much out of the city centre, less than 15 minutes on foot from our hotel, maybe 20 minutes from Citta Alta. The dinner service starts at 8 which can be a little inconvenient for those who would like to get an early start because the full menu will take about 4 hours even if you dont take your time. The restaurant itself is modern and airy, music at the right level and generally a very pleasant place to be. The Food We took the 10 course menu, there was no wait on account of the kitchen, all dishes arrived fast. We were especially impressed by the chefs idea of a caprese salad fluffy mozzarella with tomatoes and oregano seasoned just right, and the palate cleanser, a salty orange sorbet, which was a new taste combination for us, but very pleasing. The rest of the menu was mostly fine (the cheese selection was good and the recommended cheeses especially delicious) but in my opinion not all the tastes were presented in an ideal way, nor did all the chosen techniques work well for the dishes, I was especially confused about the frozen sauce on the liver, once melted, the tastes combined very well but the combination of physical hot and cold did not work for me. The others in the table were also very displeased with the sea urchin pasta as the taste and smell were very strong, perhaps even pungent (I wouldn't necessarily say this in a negative way myself). The dessert and petit fours were in a way the weakest group of the menu, not in the sense that they didn't taste good but the dessert lacked nuance and the petit fours tried to do a bit too much (and oddly at the same time too little) for what they should be. Overall for the food I think it could be worth a visit and the chef definitely has many interesting ideas, so I would give it four stars for the cooking. The Service At first the service seemed good and the servers were indeed polite and obliging but as the evening progressed some things went a bit awry. But the good things we didn't want the wine pairing as we had an early flight next morning so opted for just one bottle instead this was very well recommended and went well with many of the dishes. The servers also did a good introduction for every dish. However, to me it seemed that two servers (with no Maitre'd) was not enough for the room as they were constantly too busy, at this kind of a restaurant I would expect the water bottle to be refilled reactively, dirty dishes cleaned without delay and the wine and water glasses filled fast, none of these things were the case sadly my wineglass once empty was left empty and I was never asked if I wanted more (I think there actually was some left in the bottle we ordered but it was so difficult to get a server's attention that by the time they did come to our table it was late enough that I didn't want it any more), the water glasses were not filled in the course of the evening (only the water bottle replaced) and after several courses the dishes were cleaned only just before the next course. When they forgot my coffee, I had to try for several minutes before I was finally able to get any attention to remind them about it, and the coffee they brought was lukewarm by that time. So for the service I would give a low three stars but certainly not on account of the servers' behaviour but rather the organisation of the service. Maybe this level is intended (after all I can certainly fill my own water glass, I just wouldnt expect to have to) but it isn't what I would expect from a star restaurant. The Conclusion Honestly, I was slightly disappointed, especially comparing to my last Michelin experience in Italy (Esplanade in Desenzano) which was impeccable in every way. However, I think this restaurant could be a good experience, perhaps we were just unlucky or perhaps my expectations are simply too high."

"cozy, cozy and refined place. the dishes are assembled with care and creativity, sin that the price quality ratio is not in line with expectations. in a restaurant so expect perfection, but at the same’ was not satisfied. They sit in a coffee table that I didn’t like, in front of the entrance and with a view on a hedge. I kindly ask you to be moved, but we are told that the other tables have been expressly requested, a pity that the couple after us make the same attempt and are satisfied (for the luck of having a more available waiter). As for the dishes, as before I took a spaghetto with the clams, which was a little salty and my friend a spacchetto with the sea urchins, that from good Sicilian I know very well, but also here we sin not only on balance but also on flavors. the second, polyp with potatoes to paprika, here nothing to say on the contrary, really good, soft and plentiful, the other dish, a rospo tail with grilled vegetables, discreet, the aubergines a little burned covered the fish goto. to finish two sorbets, one with lemon and one with the fruits of the wood, even in this case I have an observation to do, if someone takes, as a conclusion of a meal, the sorbelle wants, the cleaning. Overall I can say that it is a place where you eat well enough, but not even a place where I will return."
